Chapter 346
Waylon and Keh's frantic shouts fell on deaf ears.
The martial artists from the Martial League branch acted decisively and dragged them off to the Martial League Penitentiary without entertaining any protests.
If they were officially labeled as second-level offenders, the repercussions would ruin them, and their families' reputations and influence would take a serious hit too.
As the two were hauled out of the restaurant in cuffs, Shawna stood frozen and struggled to process what had just happened.
She never imagined Dustin could wield this level of authority.
Even the branch leader of Martial League was acting on his orders...
The Martial League was the kind of organization that could effortlessly declare someone a second-level offender and detain them. They were undoubtedly among the most powerful figures at the very top of Grayvale's hierarchy.
What shook her more was Zion's attitude. He was so respectful and submissive when addressing Dustin.
"Dustin, why did he call you 'Master Fox'? Who are you, really?" Shawna asked.
Allison leaned in to listen to his answer.
The title "Master" from someone of Zion's stature carried immense weight.
Even Allison could not help but wonder what kind of secret Dustin was keeping.
"The thing is... I'll explain another time," Dustin said casually as he deflected the question.
But neither woman was satisfied with such a vague answer.
After all, who could summon someone like the Martial League's branch leader at a moment's notice?
Yet, they could not even imagine how powerful Dustin's true status might be.
"Wait here. I need to ask him something." Dustin gestured at Zion and motioned for him to follow.
Away from prying ears, Dustin said in a low voice, "What's the progress on the investigation?"
"Master Fox, per your orders, I've been investigating the Fox family massacre, but progress has been slow. There's... interference," Zion said in a low voice.
Dustin frowned. "Who's interfering?"
"Both internal players from the Martial League and external ones from noble families," Zion said cautiously.
"Didn't I give you the Martial League's Gold Token? If anyone dares obstruct the investigation, you can execute them first and report to me later." Dustin's gaze turned cold.
With the Martial League's Gold Token in hand, almost no one within the Martial League would dare interfere.
Of course, Dustin understood that such investigations were rarely straightforward. Obstacles were inevitable.
"Dig deeper and act however you see fit. Don't hold back. If you encounter problems or people you can't handle, report them to me. I'll take care of it."
Zion's face was unreadable.
"Master Fox... What if we're dealing with Martial Saints or even those above their level?"
Dustin's response was chillingly calm.
"Kill them."
The command made Zion flinch.noveldrama
He had always assumed that Dustin's remarkable talent had earned him the favor of the ruler of the Martial League and, consequently, the Supreme Token.
Though the title of "Master" carried
immense prestige, it seemed
unlikely that someone in such a
position could stand up to the formidable elders, let alone those in
the level beyond Legenda
UMS
Saint.
Dustin's attitude left him utterly stunned.
Martial
He had nonchalantly delivered his command to kill as if no enemy, not even Martial Saints, could faze him.
Zion's awe deepened as he discovered new knowledge about this mysterious Master of the Martial League.
"Understood, Master Fox," he said and bowed.
"What have you discovered so far?"
Zion hesitated briefly before speaking up.
"I've combed through two decades worth of records in Grayvale. Among the hidden files, I found some leads.
"The Fox family massacre involved multiple factions, all drawn by a black-market bounty. According to the results of my investigation, the IP address used to post the bounty traces back to the southern regions overseas. But the trail goes cold there. Someone with extraordinary influence erased all evidence...
"However, I did identify some of the
participating factions through
circumstantial evidence. So far, I've
tracked down eleven groups involved. Eight are regional powerhouses across Lovellia, including clans, gangs, and sects. The other three... are among the top of Lovellia, and they belong to the Seven Clans of Central Harbor."
