Chapter 134 Many Misunderstandings
Chapter 134 Many Misunderstandings
"You, don't think about it too much." Calvin pursed his lips and plucked up the courage to say before
Adelaide got off the car. He felt deeply powerless. He had pretended that he did not see the bruise on
her forehead. He indeed had no right to interfere in their family's business. He could only try his best to
help her to get rid of the nightmare.
Adelaide smiled at him, closed the door and told him to pay attention to safety.
He turned the car around and drove away from here. She went back heavyhearted. The door opened
when she just inserted the key into the keyhole. It was Damla who happened to take out the rubbish.
There wasn't any communication between them. She brushed past Damla sideways.
"You are back. Which lover did you meet?" Antonio crossed his legs, just lit up a cigarette and asked in
a weird way.
Adelaide didn't even look at him and walked to the stairs directly. Seeing this, Antonio was irritated. He
threw the cigarette away, came close to her hurriedly, grasped her by the wrist and dragged her into
their rooms regardless of her emotion.
"Bang!"
After Antonio slammed the door and threw Adelaide onto the bed mercilessly, looking very angry, he
pressed on her, pinched her chin with index finger and thumb and cried in anger, "Who? Who sent you
back?"
He nearly went crazy, but Adelaide was calm. She tried to turn around to avoid seeing him, but could
not do so because he pinched her chin very hard. So she closed her eyes. Out of sight, out of mind.
She didn't think she would see his furious face if she closed her eyes.
As a matter of fact, Adelaide underestimated his anger. He pinched her chin so hard that she felt that it
would be broken, but she gritted her teeth and refused to open her eyes stubbornly. Seeing her
reaction, Antonio became angrier. They were at a deadlock. Finally he gave in.
Letting go of her chin, Antonio leaned over and kissed her. Adelaide opened her eyes in disbelief. He
took the chance to kiss her deeply.
Adelaide finally realized what was happening. Feeling that she was humiliated, she closed her teeth
with great strength. Antonio cried in pain and withdrew his tongue. Her action angered him and he
raised his hands high, as if being prepared to beat someone.
"You...bite me?" He tasted blood. He stared at Adelaide with cold eyes, as if he couldn't believe that
she would do this to him.
Hearing this, Adelaide sneered, "What? You want to beat me?"
There was more and more blood coming of his tongue. He went to the bathroom directly after sniffed.
Luckily, it was just broken, or the headline of tomorrow would be that Mr. Antonio committed suicide by
biting his tongue, just like woman did. He was not interested in joking at this moment. Adelaide's
reaction was completely out of his expectation and he did not know what to do.
Before long, he came out of the bathroom. Adelaide was sitting upright on the bed with her back facing
him in case that they would lose control again. Antonio stood at the door of the bathroom, asking, "Did
Aadam send you back?"
Adelaide was stunned for a long time. Aadam and Calvin were the same in her eyes and she did not
want to quarrel with him because of it, so she acquiesced to his words.
Seeing her reaction, Antonio, who had just calmed himself down, was furious again. He couldn't hurt
Adelaide, so he punched on the wall near the door to vent his anger, "Adelaide, do you still remember
whose wife you are?"
"I don't need you to remind me of it. I haven't forgotten it for even one day." 'And that's the reason why
I've suffered so much,' she added in her heart.
"Then behave like what a wife should be, please!"
He touched her sore spot. She stood up and came close to him, saying word by word, "You haven't the
qualification to say this!" After a pause, she pointed at his chest with her index finger and blurted out
something more ruthless, "Mr. Antonio, do you have a bad memory? It was you that cheated on me,
your wife. It was you who got the other woman, causing my miscarriage. It was still you that took away
my parents' property! Who do you think you are to tell me what I should be like? In what position you
can reprove me?"
Antonio was stunned there for a long time and could not gather his wits. He stopped being angry after
hearing this. It turned out that he was the one who had made mistakes.
However, Adelaide wasn't going to let him go easily. Her eyes were as cold as ice, "Antonio, I though
you took me to the Aegean Sea out of love and care, but it was but your way to send me away! You
took me away when it was late in night just to prevent my uncles from telling me that you were going to
acquire the Swift's Group! You took me away late in night just to stop my uncles from asking me to
save the Swift's Group! Antonio, do you have affection? The Swift's Group is my dad's life's work. How
could you do this? How could you?" This content © Nôv/elDr(a)m/a.Org.
She nearly shouted the latter part of the words. She told Hanna how much she hated Greyson and that
she wouldn't bury him and her mom together as he wished. But was it true?
Her parents left her one after another and she failed to protect her child. When people around her left
one after another, she came to realize that she didn't hate Greyson and expected to get his love deep
in her heart. In the years without Flora, she still remembered that Greyson pretended to be a horse and
let her rode on his back; she still remembered that Greyson drove away a dog taller than her; she still
remembered the pink princess dress; and she remembered that...
She remembered what was originally buried deep down her heart. And that flooded into her mind when
she knew that the Swift's Group was acquired. Her father used to be kind to her.
"What are you talking about?"
Antonio asked stupidly with his eyes wide open, as if not believing what she said.
Adelaide sneered, "Antonio, the nasty things you do will not change because I talk about it less."
No!
That was not the case! The Swift's Group was no longer what it used to be. Several uncles had
dominated it for a long time. He once considered putting Clarissa into jail so that she would suffer from
it for a few years. However, Flora had the share of the Swift's Group. She would be rich enough to find
someone to help Clarissa as long as the Swift's Group wasn't closed down. But he did not want to let
her get away with it.
After thorough consideration, he decided to acquire the Swift's Group. The uncles of the Swift family
often forced Adelaide to do something she didn't want to after Greyson died. She had only a little
share, but was taken away by them through begging or robbing. Clarissa must receive punishment.
Besides, he couldn't let off those people of the Swift family. He could let the bloodsuckers of the Swift
family to find trouble with Clarissa and that would not be easier than being in jail. He asked Oscar to
suppress the Swift's Group, but the interconnected relationships relating to the Swift's Group these
years prevented it from closing down in short time.
It had been a game in which he suppressed the Swift's Group unilaterally. The Swift family's strong
desire for survival added a lot of fun to it. Therefore, he didn't ask his secretary to continue to suppress
them, but played with them for a while.
It happened that Adelaide wanted to go to the Aegean Sea. He really didn't think of anything else, just
hoping that Adelaide could be happier. But he didn't expect people of the Swift family to be so
shameless that they came to ask her for help when they were about to go bankrupt.
And Damla, who was a gossip, told all these to Adelaide inadvertently.
