Chapter 96: The Intervention
Michael knew Chloe cared most about Wendy's house. Since she wanted it so badly, he decided to give it to her completely.
From start to finish, he never truly intended to claim that house.
Ethan was stunned, but he nodded and agreed, saying he'd get right on it.
Done with everything, Michael finally started the car and headed slowly to the county court.
Chloe stood at the county courthouse entrance, her phone buzzing with the news: the house was now in her name.

After a while, Michael finally showed up at the county court entrance, over half an hour late.
Seeing him step out of the car, Chloe quickly hurried over to him.

Chloe nodded without hesitation. "Yes, we're sure."
Hearing that, the clerk grabbed the stamp, ready to seal their divorce papers in the next second.
Chloe's heart raced with excitement. After all the back-and-forth
with Michael, the divorce was finally within reach.
Just as the staff was about to stamp it, someone smacked
Michael hard on the back of his head.
He tumbled forward uncontrollably.

Chloe and Michael turned in shock to see Admas standing. behind them, leaning on a cane, fury written all over his face.
"My damn grandson was planning divorce Chloe behind my back! If I hadn't caught wind of it, he would've gone through
with it!"

"Come home with me!"
Chloe stared at their divorce papers for what felt like an eternity before finally tearing her gaze away and getting up from the chair. "Adam, I want a divorce."
The staff realized there was some family drama and figured they wouldn't be divorcing just yet. He asked them to step aside and work it out, freeing up the spot for others. Admas pointed at Michael and started yelling at him.
