Chapter 12 Wound
Chapter 12 Wound
The force was so strong that she was thrown onto the wall behind. Suddenly, she felt a bang of pain coming from the back of her head.
Soon, something warm started to stream down her nape from her head. Soon, her shirt was totally wet.
Margery gritted her teeth and supported herself up by holding the wall with her trembling hands. Before she could move her pale lips to explain herself, the cold voice sounded from above again, "Margery, if you dare to hurt Vivian again, I will take over the custody of Andrew and also your only property—the clinic you own! And I will transfer both of them to Vivian. Every time you want to see Andrew, you will have to beg her for permission! What about that?"
When hearing that, Margery couldn't help trembling all over. She raised her pale face, feeling cold down her arms. She stared at this attractive man wearing a handsome face with great disbelief, who had just hurt her again with sharp words.
Not only did she feel pain at the back of her head, but she felt like being stabbed into the heart by a sharp knife as if it were being cut into pieces.
Her love for him during these years was nothing but a big joke!
She clenched her fists so hard that her nails almost penetrated her palms. She tried hard to hold back the heartrending feelings and forced a weird smile, "Golden, you will definitely regret believing her one day!"
Golden frowned, showing no intention to respond. He took up his tailored suit jacket elegantly and put it on Vivian, who still looked feeble. Then he hugged her into his arms and walked towards the elevator.
While walking, he comforted her in a soft tone, "I know you cherish your own pretty face. I will ask the best doctor in this city to cure your face in two days. And I know that he happens to work here now."
Though Vivian's face swollen and she felt pain, she leaned against his strong chest with a complacent smile. Then she said in a tender tone, "It was just a mere slap. I am fine. Golden, don't be so anxious next time."
"I never deem myself too anxious because I did this for you." Golden hugged her tight and his frowning face seemed to relax. While walking away, he suddenly glanced at Margery with his seemingly calm but chilling eyes. Then he turned his back on her.
Margery looked at him as well calmly. Then, she always turned around with her back on him and staggered forward.
She didn't want her son to see her awkward look right now.
So when she was about to reach the ward of Andrew, she immediately rushed forward with her head down while biting her lips hard to hold back the pain feelings. However, she still heard Andrew asking the carer softly that he wanted to see his mom after she left for so long.
Suddenly, all grievance and pain buried in her mind exploded. Tears streamed down her cheek continuously.
No matter how hard she set her teeth to pretend to stay strong when facing Golden and Vivian, she now totally collapsed because of the words of her sweetheart.
Margery walked out of the hospital with tearful eyes. Then she noticed that Melvin was standing at the gate of a supermarket nearby, who was fixing his eyes on her with great surprise.
As Melvin knew her well, he could tell that Margery must have suffered again because of Golden. He immediately dropped the two bags he was holding and rushed over. He hugged her with his hands
pressing on her head and huffed, "I saw you being sad or crying every time I met you! Tell me, what did that bastard do to you?"
Margery felt pain when his hands pressed on the back of her head. She immediately struggled to get herself off his hug while biting her lips. Then she shook her head awkwardly, "Nothing. He did nothing to me."
When feeling something wet streaming down the back of her head, Melvin immediately walked forward to check her head. When seeing the blood stain, he could feel his own hearting beating fiercely. He was about to explode out of rage, "You still want to keep me in the dark, huh? If he did nothing to you, why did your eyes look tearful? Why did your head bleed? Why are you being so timid? Why don't you fight back when he hit you? I still stay by your side even if you lost your family! Let's go to see a doctor and have your wound bandaged! Let me take care of the fee! You don't need to ask him for help again!"
"My wound has scabbed. It's okay. I will go for a doctor to deal with it."
Margery didn't want Melvin to get involved. So she grabbed his arms to stop him. Then she continued calmly, "Well, I need your help for something urgent."Content is property of NôvelDrama.Org.
