“Can you please excuse us Selina? I and Damian need to discuss about something really important.” Felix suddenly asked as he turned to stare at me.
“Uhm okay.” I said and was about to leave when Damian held me back.
“We can just discuss while she is here.” Damian said as he pulled me in.
Felix looked at us in confusion. When he saw that Damian didn’t seem to change his mind soon, he gave up.
“Alright.” He said in surrender.
I sighed and reluctantly sat down on the couch opposite them.
“What do you need to discuss?” Damian asked as he walked closer to Felix.
Felix looked over at me first. It seemed like he was hesitating whether to say whatever he wanted to say in front of me.
Damian noticed his stares and said;
“Don’t worry. Just talk.” Felix finally gave up.
“It is about my accident.” He started.Property © of NôvelDrama.Org.
“What is wrong? You know who is behind it?” Damian asked eagerly.
“Yes, and you do to.” Felix answered.
“Who is it?” Damian asked. But it seemed like he already knew who it was.
“It is Mark.” Felix muttered.
Mark?? Who is Mark?? I don’t know who he is but by the looks of it, he is Damian’s enemy because at the mention of his name, I could see Damian’s jaw and fists clench.
“What makes you think he is the one??” Damian asked.
“Right before my accident, he gave me a call.” Felix said.
“A call??? What did he say?” Damian asked again.
“He mentioned something about wanting to punish you. And to do that, he had to wipe out every one closest to you.” Felix answered.
Felix’s words sent a chill down my spine. That Mark must be someone that’s really dangerous. Closest to him, that’s really scary.
Damian took in a deep sigh and sat down on the chair close to Felix.
“Wait, is that the reason you wouldn’t let Selina out of your sight?” Felix asked as he gave me a quick glance.
“Yes.” Damian answered curtly.
“This is more serious than I thought. It is surprising that Mark’s still alive. What’s more surprising is that I thought I would get a surprised look from you but it seems like you were already aware. How long have you known Mark was still alive?” Felix asked.
“For some time now. When we were still in Paris, I had a brief interaction with him.” Damian answered.
Huh??? Mark is a dead person??? This story is getting more interesting. I wouldn’t really call it a story be cause that Mark seems dangerous. Look at the state he put Felix in.
“You don’t mean it. He even followed you both to Paris??” Felix had a really surprised look on.
“Yeah. Selina was even the one that spotted him first when we were having lunch together, but before I could turn back to see who he was, he had already disappeared.” Damian said.
I was?? Wait, does that mean that creepy blonde I saw is the same Mark they are talking about??
“How were you able to tell he was the one. From what I know, Selina doesn’t even know him.” Felix said.
“The way she described him.” Damian answered curtly.
Felix nodded his head in understanding while Damian continued.
“When we got back to the hotel, a bomb was strapped to the wardrobe. Luckily, Selina was quick to discover it so we were able to escape the hotel in time.” Damian muttered.
He was the one who put the bomb in there?? How?? When?? And why??? Is his grudge against Damian that strong??
“He really planted a bomb in your room???” Felix asked in shock as he looked between Damian and I.
“I just said that.” Damian muttered as his tone turned into that of annoyance.
“Doesn’t that prove something to you??” Felix asked.
“Prove what??” Damian asked back.
“That there is a mole within your people.” Felix answered.
“Why do you think so?” Damian asked.
“Can’t you connect the dots??” Are you really that dumb or what??” Felix sked, earning a glare from Damian.
“Think about it. Only a few people knows that you are going to Paris, only your people knows that you were going to use that room and hotels have just one key card apart from the master key.” Felix took a brief pause to see if Damian is listening.
“Continue.” Damian urged.
“How come you came and found out that there was a bomb in the hotel. It is either one of these two options. The bomb has been there before the both of you lodged in there or someone put it in there when the both of you were out.” Felix said.
“It can’t be before you both arrived because it was in the wardrobe so you both must have used the wardrobe already. That only leaves us with the option that it was planted there when you guys were away. Did you notice anything out of the ordinary when you guys came back??? ” Felix asked.
“I had just found out that my so called best friend who was supposed to be dead was stalking me around the streets of Paris, threatening to kill me and everyone I care about so no,
I had no time to notice anything.” Damian answered.
That means that Mark is his best friend. This is getting weirder by the minute.
“Okay. Except you and Selina, which other person had access to the room?” Felix asked.
“No one else.” Damian answered.
“What about Grey?” I finally spoke out.
“What about him?” Damian asked as he turned to look at me.
“He was at in the hotel room at the time of the incident. How was he able to get in if only us both had access to the room??” I asked.
“Wait, Grey was in the room with you both at the time of the incident?” Felix asked.
“Yes.” I answered.
He turned towards Damian and shared look with him.
“That is impossible.” Damian said as he stood up from his chair.
“How is it impossible? Selina just said that Grey was in the room when you both entered. It can’t be a mere coincidence.” Felix answered.
“There is no way Grey is the mole.” Damian said in denial.
“There is no way it is you, nor is it Selina. I’m not saying we should point fingers at Grey that he is the one, I’m just saying that we should be opened to the possibility that he might be the one.” Felix answered.
“There is no way Grey would ever betray me. He has been with me for a long time now.” Damian said.
“What about Mark? Wasn’t he our friend until he became greedy and turned his back on us??” Felix asked.
“Grey would never do that to me.” Damian said.
“Don’t put your hope in him Damian. I just hope you are right.” Felix said.
“I am right. I hope you would never speak of this again.” Damian said angrily.
Felix wanted to say something but one look from Damian was enough to shut him off.
Okay, things are finally getting heated. I wonder why Damian is so sure of Grey. You can never know when someone close to you decides to turn their back on you. Though it hurts, but it always happens.
The air in the rom had finally turned sour as the two men wouldn’t stop giving each other dreadful looks. I decided not to butt into their affairs. They are old enough to sort things out themselves.
I rested tiredly on the headrest and was about to close my tired eyes when something caught my attention.
It was Grey leaning on the room’s door, he had been eavesdropping on our conversation.
