Dear 194
Chapter 194 night.
Under the gentle light,Anika gazed at the familiar face in front of her, unsure of what to say.
Joshua lowered his head and kissed her forehead.
Anika tightened her hand slightly on the blanket.
"I was a bit tired today and didn't feel like it."
Joshua paused, hugged her tightly, and said nothing.
Anika leaned against his chest, able to hear his strong heartbeat.
"Joshua..."
"Uh-huh."
"Do you remember the first time we hugged?"Anika suddenly asked.Belongs to NôvelDrama.Org - All rights reserved.
Joshua, upon hearing the words, recalled the first time she embraced him, which was on their wedding
Her father had just passed away, but he pulled her away.
Joshua didn't know why Anika suddenly asked this.
Joshua thought she was blaming him, so he said, "I won't let those things happen again.
He rarely apologized. This attitude was already considered a way of admitting his mistakes.
Anika looked up at him in confusion, not understanding the meaning behind his words.
Anika thought, "The first time we hugged was when I was studying, and he braved the rainy night to pick me up after I was bullied."
"How can you say it won't happen again?"
Anika then said, "I must have liked you back then.
Liked you a lot, really liked you."
Although she said she liked him, Joshua noticed that something was wrong.
When they got married, Joshua was certain that Anika loved him.
Why do we say now that we only liked him back then?
When his confusion remained unresolved, Anika said again,"I felt that you were really great back then.I always thought that I wasn't worthy of you and never imagined that one day I could marry you." Joshua's Adam's Apple slightly moved.
He never expected to marry Anika, a little girl.
When Joshua first saw her, she was only ten years old. She was thin and small, but her face was filled with
the most beautiful smile.
"We can start over now," Joshua said somehow.
Anika looked deeply and asked, 'Is it really possible to start over?"
During her time abroad, she often had dreams.Anika dreamt that Joshua regretted and asked her to come
back home, promising to treat her well. However, every time she woke up, it was all just a dream.
She hadn't waited for Joshua to answer when the doorbell rang, and it was the waiter delivering dinner. During dinner, the two of them unconsciously drifted apart from the topic.
In the evening, the two of them slept together. After turning off the lights, Joshua naturally held her in his
arms and softly called out,"Anika."
Anika took off her hearing aid and couldn't hear his voice clearly.
After she fell asleep, she had a strange dream. In the dream, she was like a small boat, drifting
aimlessly, not knowing where to go. When she opened her eyes, Joshua was already gone. The sky outside was
bright, and the wind gently swayed the white curtains.
Anika changed her clothes and got up. She casually picked up her phone and saw a message from
Raina, talking about Violet's apology.
Anika also saw a message sent by the foreign assistant. The message stated that Violet had already
arranged for compensation.
After turning off her phone,Anika walked out. She saw Joshua standing under a big banyan tree, wearing a black coat. He was tall and straight, holding something in his hand, and walking towards her. As she approached, Anika only then noticed that he was carrying two simple breakfasts in his hands.
It was Eldol's signature hamburger.
Joshua would never have glanced at these things.
"Are you awake?I went to buy breakfast, Joshua looked at her and said gently," Didn't you say you liked the breakfast here?"
He remembered because during the four or five years he was looking for Anika, he would occasionally look at their chat records.
Watching Anika, she had a lot to say at the beginning, but in the end,she only had simple sharing.
Anika finally snapped out of it and nodded, "Yes."
When the two of them returned to the room, Joshua suddenly stopped in his tracks and looked at her, "Is there something else you haven't done?"
Anika looked at him with confusion.
I heard him say, "We are married now. You used to say that being married means holding. hands, hugging, and kissing every day."
