Little black dress
I put on a little black dress, which ended just above my knee and four inch dark red heels then applied some makeup on my face. I picked up my purse and joined the guys.
Alec’s friends had come with a car so we had two rides to the venue. When we got outside, we had options of choosing where to sit. I wanted to go with Alec because he was the one I knew best and could trust.
He was a bad boy which meant his friends weren’t any better. The only difference was that I knew him, but had no idea about the other guys. I could trust him. So far, he hadn’t tried to force himself on me or done anything scary to me.NôvelDrama.Org © content.
“Who goes with me?” Alec asked getting into the driver’s seat of his car. He looked at his friends, waiting.
“I think you can go with her,” Silver said glancing at me. “She doesn’t know any of us and seems quite scared.”
“Fine,” Alec said as I headed to the passenger side. This wasn’t going to be a peaceful ride, and I could feel it.
“Get in before I change my mind,” He ordered but just as I was about to open the door, Ethan came over, with a huge smile on his face.
“I’m going with you guys,” Ethan opened the back door.
Alec shrugged. His expression even worsened when I declared that I was going to get into the back with Ethan. What was wrong with me? I was being very silly. But all was because of him. I started doing crazy things when he moved in to my room. I learnt from him because before I met Alec, I never flirted with strangers. He had to put up with me.
“Hey baby,” Ethan grinned at me. “Thanks for joining me. I thought it was going to be a very lonely ride for me.”
“Don’t mention it,” I laughed. “You’re really great company and I would be so foolish to waste the chance.” I said this glancing at Alec who noticed and started the car immediately. I hoped Ethan wouldn’t take this serious because I was just playing around.
“You’re amazing, too.” Ethan said wrapping one of his hands around my waist. I moved closer to him because he was so warm. Seeing the look on Alec’s face was the icing on the cake. My actions sparked the effect I expected and wanted to see.
“You know what-” I started but was cut off by a loud sound. Alec had turned the music volume to the highest. Gosh, it was so loud, as if we were having a party in the car.
“Fůck!” Ethan yelled and I started laughing. Alec never ceased to amaze me. I know he didn’t want to hear us but did he really have to make the volume that high? It was deafening. It was as if he wanted us all to turn deaf by the time we reached the venue.
Ethan and I decided not to complain but kept on talking to each other. Alec kept looking at me through the mirror but I tried to ignore it all. I decided to take it to another level by placing my arm around Ethan’s shoulders.
It felt good like this. Riding in a car seated next to a nice cool guy who smelt so good. I wished it could last forever.
But nothing lasts forever, especially good things. In my life, only the bad lasts. We reached the party after a short time. Ethan jumped out first leaving us two. I shot a look at Alec and turned to open the door. He didn’t say anything so I got out to find Ethan who I thought was going to be my companion but as soon as I stepped out I realized I was wrong.
Silver and the others had already reached. They were standing next to a few girls. Ethan was hugging one of them and I felt really sad about it. I guess Alec was having a moment of joy in the car. I awkwardly walked towards the other boys regretting why I had chosen to stay close to Ethan instead of Alec. I’m such a silly girl sometimes. I made a fool of myself and was now stranded among strangers who didn’t care about me.
I just stood next to them not knowing what to do. They were so busy talking about their lives and I really felt out of place.
Someone tapped my shoulder and I turned to see a girl. I was really relieved that someone was talking to me at last.
“Hey,”
“Hi” I said.
“I’m Annie,” She said smiling at me. She was really cute like a little princess.
“Lynn.” I smiled.
“You’re the girl who came in Alec’s car, right?”
“Yeah.”
“And why is that?” I was going to be rude to her but the innocent look stopped me. “As you can see Ethan has a girlfriend. I bet you didn’t know that. That’s why you sat with him in the backseat, right?”
“I’m Alec’s roommate,” I told her. This surprised her and I smiled.
“Oh I see,” Annie said. “So you begged him to bring you here? I can see he clearly doesn’t want to be seen with you or he would have taken time to show you around since he knows you don’t know anyone around here. Why don’t you just go away? No one needs you here.” She flipped her hair after saying that. How annoying!
I couldn’t let her put me down and get over with it. Thankfully, no one was listening to our conversation so I didn’t feel embarrassed. How could such a sweet person spit so much venom?
“Just leave me alone, will you?” I said and turned away. I walked inside sure of the fact that I’d find someone there who would give me company. I couldn’t just leave. That would be so embarrassing. I scanned the room trying to see which guy to dance with and landed on a familiar face.
With a heavy heart, I walked towards him.
