Fall for You After Divorce

Chapter 1134

Chapter 1134

Briana Cameron had just learned the ins and outs of the matter, looking at him calmly.

“No need for a meal invitation, I just hope that Mr. Carney could be more discerning in the future, and not help everyone indiscriminately.”

A hint of unease flashed across Brycen’s face as he quickly said, “Of course.”

Briana Cameron didn’t say anything else, she turned around, greeted Mr. Dempsey, and then immediately hailed a taxi to leave.

Brycen called Maxim, “Maxim, Briana Cameron has already left, this was indeed my fault. I’ll treat you to dinner tonight.”

He didn’t want this matter to affect his relationship with Maxim, after all, Maxim had put in a lot of effort when he was pursuing Madeline.

“No need, as long as she was okay.”

After speaking, the other party hung up the phone.

Brycen frowned, just about to call back, when Madeline’s call came in.

His brow twitched, a vague sense of unease stirring within him.

Sure enough, as soon as the call connected, Madeline’s cold voice came through.

“Mr. Carney, I heard that you helped Apollo take Briana to the police station, is that true?”

“Who told you?”

When speaking, Brycen was clearly a bit guilty, after all, he planned to hide this matter from Madeline, because he knew Madeline would

definitely be angry.

“Does it matter who told me? We have already broken up. I hope Mr. Carney will not interfere in my family affairs in the future, and stop hurting Briana. To me, she is a friend who is even more important than myself.”

Her cold attitude stung Brycen, he sneered, “Madeline, on what

grounds are you ordering me? If you were my girlfriend, I could listen to you. but you said we’ve already broken up, it seems I don’t need to listen to you.”

Madeline’s grip on her phone tightened unconsciously, and it took her several seconds to slowly say, “Mr. Carney. I want to part on good terms with you. I’m not ordering you, I just hope you won’t interfere in my affairs in the future.”

“I was helping Apollo, it seemed to have nothing to do with Ms. Garcia.”

Brycen hung up the phone abruptly, so angry he wanted to smash his cell phone. But then he remembered it was a gift from Madeline, and after a moment of restraint, he didn’t throw it.

That heartless woman!

He had only meant well but ended up causing trouble. Yet, she started off by repeatedly calling him Mr. Carney and mentioning breaking up, which made him seethe with anger.

And he still didn’t know why Madeline had broken up with him. After all, he had been accommodating her in every way since they got together. What on earth was she still unsatisfied with?!

The more Brycen thought about it, the angrier he became. He

instructed the driver to go directly to the hospital; he needed to have a serious talk with Madeline.

Half an hour later, Brycen arrived at the door of Madeline’s hospital room, holding a bouquet of flowers.

Just as I was about to knock on the door, I heard laughter from

Madeline and a man inside.

His face changed instantly, he pushed the door open directly, and saw a man who was about twenty– seven or eight years old sitting by Madeline’s sickbed. The man was quite good–looking, which immediately darkened his face.

The two people in the hospital room heard the sound of the door opening and turned their heads at the same time. Seeing Brycen with a gloomy face, both of them were taken aback.

Madeline quickly realized, her smile turning extremely cold.

“Mr. Carne

Brycen, infuriated yet laughing, slowly walked into the hospital room.

“As your ex–boyfriend, when you were hospitalized, it was only natural for me to come and see you.”
