Girl Get Rid Of That Jerk (Williams and Shawn)

Chapter 283

The night before.

Javier's call came through to the Fisher family.

"Is Allie's disappearance linked to your family's black sheep?" Javier asked, barely keeping his anger in check.

Ben's face tightened. "What? Allie's missing? Have you called the police yet?"

"The cops were the ones who called me to confirm she's missing. We've tried her number countless times, but it just rings dead. Her aunt and I have combed through her apartment and her office, but she's vanished into thin air."

Javier's voice was filled with frustration. "And Joshua? What's he doing? Allie's gone missing, and he's not out there searching for her?"

"We just heard about this ourselves. Joshua is likely swamped with work and hasn't caught wind of it yet. I'll let him know right away. Try not to worry, Allie will turn up. Maybe her phone just died, and she'll get back to us once it's charged," Ben attempted to calm him.

"Phone dead? That's a stretch. Her aunt and I have been searching all night and haven't found a single clue. It's easy for you to talk when it's not your kid who's gone missing!"

Ben replied, "Javier, take a deep breath."

"Take a deep breath? How can I do that?" Javier's voice rose, "If Joshua disappeared out of the blue, would you be able to stay calm?"

Ben was getting a headache from Javier's yelling. "Let's hear what the police have to say first."

Haley, sitting right next to Ben, could hear Javier's loud voice clearly enough to piece together most of the conversation.

She was very fond of Allison, almost considering her like a daughter.

Hearing about Allison's disappearance made Haley feel anxious and worried. "What happened? Allie's missing?" Haley asked, unable to hide her concern. Ben exchanged a few more words with Javier before hanging up.noveldrama

"Yeah, Javier said they're unable to reach Allie. He and her aunt have been looking for her all night."

Haley's brow furrowed with worry. "Have they called the police?"

Ben replied, "Yes, they've already contacted the police. It was the police who reached out to them."

"Does Joshua know? We need to let him know so he can help with the search."

"I'm on it now."

Just as Ben was about to dial Joshua's number, Joshua called him instead.

Joshua didn't beat around the bush: "Dad, you've heard about Allie's disappearance, right? She's been kidnapped."

Ben was taken aback, "What! Kidnapped? What happened?"

Joshua's voice was heavy with exhaustion, "It's Chris. I'm heading home How. Don't panic. Wait for me to get back. And whatever you do, don't call the police."

"Chris?" Ben's face darkened immediately. "But Javier mentioned they've already informed the police."

"What!" Joshua's grip tightened, his

knuckles turning white. "We can't

involve the police. Chris just called was planning to discuss our next steps at home. If we alert the

something dangerous, and Allie's life could be at risk!"

"What do we do now? The police already know Allie's missing." Ben frowned.

"Stay put until I get there. I'm on my way back now."

Joshua said before hanging up.

Haley anxiously asked, "What's happening? Is there any news about Allie?"

"It was Joshua on the phone."

Ben's expression was serious, and after a moment of hesitation, he said, "Allie's been kidnapped. The person who took her is... Chris."

"Chris?" Haley's face changed

instantly. "Him again? Why would he kidnap Allie? If it's because Allie and Joshua were once engaged, and he's trying to get back at Joshua, then it doesn't make sense-they've already broken up and called off the engagement!"
