Rose turned to the nurse, "Could you please take him to get his wound looked at?"

Joshua just stood there, eyes glazed over, fixated on the big "In Surgery" sign above the emergency room doors.

Wiping her tears, Rose nudged Joshua gently. "Go get yourself patched up. You don't want Allie waking up and seeing you in this state, do you?"

Joshua seemed to snap out of it at her words. He gave a slight nod and shuffled after the nurse.

Sabrina watched him walk away and let out a long sigh. Those two really are like a pair of star-crossed lovers.

Once Joshua was gone, Rose grabbed Ben by the arm and dragged him outside. "Come with me!"

With a determined look, she marched him out of the hospital, her lips pressed tight, eyes blazing with fury. Nurses and staff couldn't help but throw curious glances their way.

"What do you think you're doing? Let go!" Ben protested, shaking off her hand as soon as they were outside.

A sharp slap echoed as Rose's palm connected with Ben's cheek.

"What's gotten into you?" Ben shouted, his anger flaring.

Rose was livid. "What's gotten into me? If you hadn't fooled around and gotten that woman pregnant, leading to that illegitimate child being born, none of this mess would have happened! Did you even know Chris nearly killed Joshua today?"

Ben's face turned dark. "I had no idea Chris would turn out like this! Pointing fingers now won't change what happened!"

"Ben!" Rose jabbed a finger at him, her voice seething with fury. "You're the cause of all this! It's all your doing, and you act like it's no big deal?"

Ben's eyes were bloodshot as he shot back, "Nancy lied about having a miscarriage and secretly had the baby abroad. I found out too late! By then, Chris was already born. Even a beast doesn't harm its own cubs. Did you expect me to kill my own son?"

Tears ran down Rose's face as she shouted, "So you just stand by and watch your illegitimate son try to kill Joshua? Isn't Joshua your son too? This whole mess is your doing!"

Ben sneered, "My doing? I begged

Fisher family, but you refused. You threatened with your life, and Dad threatened to disown me. If Chris had grown up with us, he wouldn't have turned to the underworld, nor would he harbor such hatred towards Joshua."

"Oh, that's just great!" Rose laughed bitterly. "So now it's all our fault? I must havenoveldrama

Ben's face was stormy. "Are you out of your mind? Chris is in custody, and

Joshua's alive. Why bring up divorce now?"

"Because you're heartless and cold."

Rose's tone softened, losing its earlier frenzy. "You're the one to blame, yet you act like you're innocent. Your past mistakes nearly cost Joshua his life and almost tore the Qwens family apart. And now you blame me for threatening with my life? You blame my parents for not accepting Chris? Ben, do you even have a conscience?"

Ben's face was clouded with gloom as he stayed silent.

Rose looked at him, her eyes icy. She spoke softly, "Ben, the person Chris should really resent is you."

With that, Rose turned and walked away, her demeanor icy.

"I..." Ben tried to speak, but suddenly coughed up blood, his vision blurring as he collapsed.
