Chapter 35. I don't want to lie anymore

Bad news Sir, Dr. Sullivan is in New York attending a seminar. She will be back in 2 weeks.

What do we do now Ari, I don't want to lie anymore, Ari?

I am calling Steven for a consultation, Ari responded.

Ari spoke with Steven for half an hour while Hannah and Tiong Berto are both having lunch and dessert.

What did Steven say? Hannah asks

He said to downplay the issue for now until we talk to Mr. San Diego and Dr. Sullivan when we get back from California. Ari responded.

I think that is the best idea, so we can avoid mistakes, Hannah conformed.

Dinner time at the Davis residence.

How's school, Aaron?

It's okay Dad....

Have you decided to pursue your education at Santa Clara University this fall?

Dad, can I change school?

Sure, where do you want to enroll this time?

I would like to enroll at Stanford University and study Psychology.

That is interesting Aaron. I am glad you have decided to follow in the footsteps of your cousins. Why the sudden change of course from Engineering to BS Psychology?

I've been to Stanford so many times because of Simone and Yssabella. I liked the ambiance Mom, Dad. We also visited Santa Clara University, San Jose University, UC Berkeley, UC Modesto, UC SF, and UC Davis but I felt connected to Stanford U. Maybe because of Simone and Yssabella, however, there's more to it. I can feel that I love that school. You see, they have a research center, lots of laboratories, and the most important part is... it's a doctoral university. Stanford is also a center for visual arts. They have a good reputation worldwide. I love the school motto too.

I am impressed with your research son, what is their motto?

" The wind of freedom blows".....see Dad, FREEDOM! Content is property of NôvelDrama.Org.

Freedom has a very broad meaning in all aspects, Aaron. Sometimes, too much freedom is not good.

Everything should be in moderation. Keep that in mind, son.

I understand Mom. Trust me on this.

So tell me, Aaron, why do you want to be a psychologist?

Aaron: I would like to get inside the mind of people. I wish I am a mind reader. I would like to understand why there are bad people and good ones. I would like to know why people commit crimes, trafficked children for their own monetary gain, sold slaves in the human market, and sell drugs to innocent children just to get money. I would like to study their brainwaves, their intelligence to navigate and not get caught right away. Sometimes, I would like to ask God, why he created bad ones.

Ari and Hannah are speechless, both are listening intently to Aaron.

Are you okay son, why all of the sudden, you're questioning God about these human frailties.

I don't know Dad, it just came to me after the R and R, when Ms. Hart mentioned that Mom worked in Cambodia many many years ago to helped the victims of human trafficking. I approached her about it

and ask more information about Mom's advocacy. She told me a lot of Mom's work at the Survivor's Home in Phnom Penh. Now, I understand why Mom is so dedicated in helping the underserve. I want to follow your footstep Mom....your un relenting courage and perseverance to help out.

Hannah is misty eyed, she didn't know how she touched their son's life and future plans.

I am glad you're learning from me son, your father is my strong financial supporter. If not for his funding I cannot do all of these projects.

That'swhy you're good to each other, you both speak the same language. I am so proud to have parents like you Mom, Dad. My teacher said once, that my parents spread human kindness to everyone, thatswhy Dad's business is booming, because you both have a good heart.

That is so sweet of your teacher Aaron, what's her name son?

Myrna San Diego, Mom.

Do you know her Hannah?

I don't know her yet but soon I will be.

Ari's POV:

I suspect that Aaron know's something about his parents already. I felt something was wrong with his reasoning. He talked a lot of sense. It's too good to be true.

Hannah's POV

I was so amazed by Aaron's mind set today, he talk like an adult. My son grew up so fast. It's good we discussed these school choices, my work and advocacy, he forgot the cemetery issue. I have to meet

that teacher, her last name is San Diego. Might be a blood relative of Aaron. Maybe? We have time to consult Dr Sullivan when we get back from San Francisco.
