Kylie Bray (Love, Hate and Billions)

Chapter 59 (Kylie)

Chapter 59 (Kylie)

“Did you get it,” I ask Michael just as he answers.

A few weeks ago when Michael agreed to help me, I asked him for something else. He didn't like my

request but agreed to get the papers I needed.

It was the only way to really find out about Vincent and how far deep was his hatred toward the Outfit.

Call it a hunch that just refused to be dismissed.

“Yes, I will bring it over, gave it a read myself, you sure you want to read this.” Michael's doubt is

evident in his voice and I can't help the smile that comes hearing it.

“Of course yes, now are we all set to go,” I say this as I zip up my boots.

I am all dressed ready to go back to the dock and finally finish what Vincent started.

“Yes, don't forget, the minute you see the green dot appear you press speed dial number one. Don't go

in, wait until you hear the sirens. Everything else is set up, they should be arriving there in two hours,

Be careful Ky.”

“I love you Michael, thanks.” That is the closest to goodbye I have ever said to anyone since my mother

left.

“I love you more Ky. I'll see you in a few.”

After my quick call to my brother I grab the bag with the heat sensor, gun and bullet proof vest.

Sneaking this under Vincent's nose wasn't easy.

After my failed attempt to bribe his guard didn't work, I waited until we were at a restaurant and had

Kevin tag us the entire way.

Nobody catches the ghost.

Kevin luckily didn't want to know why I needed these things and I was glad. That was a week ago.

Now I just have to get past the guards.

To do that I had to be smart and extremely conniving.

The phone in my hand belonging to the man that I love and was doing this for is proof of how far I am

willing to go to see this through.

'need you downstairs now, call the others, Kylie is sleeping she will be safe.' Vincent

Taking a deep breath, I press send and rush to the front door. I put my ear to the door listening

attentively.

Knowing the sound of the guy Joey's voice- one of Vincent's soldiers, I wait until his voice quietens

from the distance.

I swing the door open and run, taking the elevator to the seventieth floor, where Vincent keeps his cars. This material belongs to NôvelDrama.Org.

Swiping the card for the keys that are stored behind a glass vault, I grab for the first one.

I miss my bike now, I learned to ride a few years back when I turned fifteen. Kevin said it was a pass in

life if I was the sister of a biker.

I don't ride often but I used to when I spent time with The Satan Snipers.

Rushing to the white BMW, I double-click the button, switching the car off.

I throw myself in, put the keys into the ignition, and reverse out of the parking space.

It isn't long until I am finally out of the hotel speeding onto the next interstate.

My nerves are wrecked. I keep my hands firmly on the wheel, going over the plan.

I glide through the cars in my lane, my eyes focused, my mind planted on my destination. I don't think

about anything besides now, and here.

This is it for me, this is it for Vincent. If I die tonight I would die saving the man I love from himself. I will

die doing this one good deed.

I check the time as I take the long roads, seventy miles per hour.

I want to push eighty but there are still too many cars on the road.

Now if I was on my bike, I would be going a cool one hundred and twenty miles per hour.

It is passing one am when I arrive. The meet is at one-thirty.

I park the car out of the dock as Michael insisted and pull out the sheet to cover it.

“This is it.” I say to myself.

Rushing from the vehicle once I’ve covered it, I grab my bag I threw on the floor and run down toward

the dock.

This place haunts me, but this energy inside of me that wants to meet the end pulls me through.

I get to the dock with four minutes to spare, I rush toward the containers, pulling the scanner out of my

bag and switch it on.

Scanning the containers one by one, but still no green dot.
