Chapter 7: Faced With His Provocation
Chapter 7: Faced With His Provocation
He was the Young Master of Titan Group and the sole heir to the Nell family fortune. Titan Group was
one of the largest conglomerates in the country, with businesses in property, the financial industry,
shopping malls and many more.
However, Leonard was different from the typical heir. He maintained a low profile and took care to keep
his life private.
Bell's plan of using Phoebe to form an alliance with the Nell family was a smart move. No wonder he
had been so polite to Leonard.
I secretly trailed Leonard for a few days and somewhat familiarised myself with his routine. During
those few days, he only met up with Phoebe once.
It seemed that these soon-to-be newlyweds were not as lovey-dovey as they ought to be. Leonard did
not have dalliances with any other women either.
I felt a little gratified by this. Did this mean that I had meant something to him?
Most of his mornings were spent at his company's headquarters. He went shopping for luxury items
twice, attended a banquet on his own once, and spent most of his nights at his villa.
During the six months that we were together, we had spent our nights in hotel rooms a dozen times.
This was the first time that I had seen his villa, and it was obvious that he was a cautious man.
However, since I now knew about his secret lair, I had to get some evidences. I took out my phone to
take a photo.
Right before I could do so, someone tapped me on the shoulder from behind. I turned around in panic,
feeling a little guilty, and met a cold gaze.
"Queena, have you had fun trailing me?"
I forced myself to stay calm as I answered, "What are you talking about? I'm just here to take in the
scenery. Fancy seeing you here!"
He smiled coldly at my weak excuse. "Are you telling me that you trailing me from my company, to the
banquet, and even to my villa are all coincidences?"
I was a little dumbfounded at Leonard's words. Was he so alert that he saw right through my thoughts
and actions?
I broke into a cold sweat. I was racking my brains, trying to think of a way to get out of this, when he
suddenly grabbed my wrist and started dragging me towards his villa.
"What, what do you think you're doing? Look, the game's up, okay? I don't want to play anymore!" I RêAd lat𝙚St chapters at Novel(D)ra/ma.Org Only
twisted my body backwards in an attempt to resist him.
"What makes you think that you have the right to put an end to this after trailing me for so many days,
Queena? It would be impolite not to invite you into my home now that you've found out about it, right?
Anyway, I'm very much interested in continuing with this game..." Leonard said lightly.
"Mr. Nell, you need to be more respectful. We used to be friends with benefits, but that's over now. I'm
not the type of woman that's at your beck and call..." I wanted Leonard to be very clear about where we
stood.
"I wasn't the one who started this, Queena. You served yourself to me on a silver platter!" Leonard
turned around and glared at me.
He was gripping me so tightly that it was impossible for me to break free. Deep down, I knew that I was
still harbouring a glimmer of hope despite my loathing for him. It made me mad at myself.
He dragged me into the living room, and it was obvious from the villa's silence that he was its only
occupant. It was exquisitely decorated, though, reflecting its owner's tastes.
He shoved me onto the sofa and pounced on me before I could even gather my wits.
His hot breath fanned over my face and neck as his hands sneaked beneath my skirt.
