Luna of the Cursed Alpha King (Helga and Siegren)

Luna Of The 48

AS SOON AS SIEGREN spoke those words, the atmosphere between him and Helga turned tense and frigid. Helga gritted her teeth and averted her eyes from his piercing stare, struggling to find the right words to express all the emotions bubbling inside her. Eventually, she simply sighed and nodded, her once gentle gaze turning icy instantly.

"I understand, Your Majesty. Please forgive me for overstepping," she apologized, causing Siegren's fist to clench. He didn't intend to be so harsh, but he couldn't control his emotions at the moment. Instead of trying to make amends, he simply turned and grabbed his mask before exiting the room, needing some fresh air to clear his head and calm his thoughts. As the door closed, Helga pressed her lips tightly together and let herself collapse on the bed, gazing at the ceiling with an expression of pain on her face. While she understood why the Alpha King insisted on wearing a mask, it still frustrated her how he had reacted. It wasn't like she had malicious intentions when she suggested he address the rumors and everyone that there was no reason to fear him.

"Shit, did I do something wrong?" she muttered, "Stella, are you there?"

As Helga waited for a response, the silence surrounding her was deafening. She let out a deep sigh, feeling a sense of frustration wash over her. Her wolf, normally so responsive and present in her mind, seemed to be deeply asleep and unwilling to engage with her. Despite Stella's tendency for silence after using her powers, Helga couldn't shake off the slight unease that crept up within her, especially since it had been longer than usual since her wolf had spoken to her from the depths of her consciousness. She could sense Stella's presence, but ever since their mating with Siegren, there had been an unshakable stillness between them that left Helga feeling unnerved.

THE NEXT DAY dawned bright and clear, the sun casting a golden light over the rolling hills as they continued their journey towards Incarnadine's territory. The ride, filled with lively conversation just yesterday, was now permeated with an uncomfortable silence. Even the driver couldn't help but feel the tension between the Alpha King and Queen Luna, wondering what had happened to turn the air between them so icy overnight. He glanced at them through the rearview mirror, a knot forming in his stomach as he saw the rulers of Verdentia sitting away from each other.

Suddenly, the royal guards driving in front came to a sudden halt, causing the driver to hit the brakes hard. As Helga looked up ahead, she realized they were on a secluded road leading directly to the border of Incarnadine's territory. A cold sweat broke out on her forehead as she quickly pieced together why the car had stopped.

"Where are you off to?" she inquired, noticing Siegren's hand reaching for the backseat door. He had just communicated through a mind link with the royal guards in the car ahead of them, and they had alerted him that rogues were approaching on the road.

"I'll help the guards deal with the rogues. You go first, I will follow once I've taken care of this matter," he responded, his voice low and determined. Though they both knew there was no need for him to go outside and fight, Siegren felt the need to blow off some steam, and dealing with rogues was the perfect way to get his frustrations out.

"But-"

"I'll be fine," he interrupted her, causing Helga to frown and wince as he exited the vehicle and shut the door. The driver noticed her in the rearview mirror and received an order through a mind link from the Alpha King, instructing him to drive carefully and ensure that his wife arrived safely at the Incarnadine's territory.

Helga turned away from the window and didn't even spare a glance at the royal guards and Alpha King, who were now dealing with the rogue attackers. A few of them tried to follow the car she was in, but they quickly retreated when Siegren used his powers to force them back.

"Let's go," she said, urging the driver to speed away.

After crossing the border and arriving at the church, Helga took a deep breath and gathered her courage to step out of the car. The royal guard, who had been silently sitting beside the driver earlier, escorted her to the entrance. She nodded briefly in thanks, causing him to bow before they headed inside. Her heart was racing as she approached the door and as soon as she stepped inside, she froze upon seeing familiar faces looking directly at her. It seemed like she had arrived just in time for the wedding ceremony.

She strode with confidence, ignoring the bows of those around her. As she approached, Ezra's heart quickened as he watched Helga, her stunning appearance almost causing him to freeze in place. The church slowly filled with more guests, and the whispers from the members of the Incarnadine pack grew louder as they fixed their eyes on Helga. The orphan they used to serve, and abuse was now a member of the royal pack, and not just any member but the Queen.

None of them expected to see her at the wedding, and many of them were anxious about being in her presence. There was a noticeable change in her demeanor, and they feared that their mistreatment of her would catch up to them now that she held such a high position in the country. However, all thoughts were interrupted when the music started playing and Miranda walked down the aisle with her father. She had a radiant smile on her face, but it quickly disappeared when she caught sight of Helga sitting near the front row. Her fake emerald eyes widened in shock as she took a sharp breath before turning to Ezra and communicating through their mind link about why her ex-lover was present at their wedding. "Don't mind her, just focus on the ceremony,” Ezra said through mind link and Miranda just gritted her teeth, earning a chuckle from Helga because it seemed Miranda was unaware that Alpha Ezra had invited her for his own personal reasons.

"Now that's interesting,” she muttered with a smirk on her face. Not long after, the ceremony began but her mind was occupied with thoughts of Siegren and what might be happening to him and the royal guards battling the rogues.

Suddenly, the church was filled with applause, drawing her attention to the newly married couple, Ezra and Miranda, as they sealed their union with a kiss. She joined in the clapping, but her expression remained blank as she couldn't shake off the worry for her husband.

After the ceremony, guests made their way to the Incarnadine pack house for the reception. Helga followed suit, returning to the place she once called home. She couldn't deny feeling

nervous, knowing all eyes would be on her. But there was also a sense of satisfaction knowing that her presence would be a humiliation to Miranda and the rest of the Incarnadine pack members.

"I didn't know you were coming," Viola said as she approached Helga with her husband, the previous Alpha Aldous.

"Did

your son not inform you that he sent me an invitation?" Helga asked as she twirled her glass of champagne, her voice showing no politeness like how she usually talked to her. Despite being the Queen, she was not receiving the treatment and respect that should be given to someone of her status. It wasn't surprising, considering only Ezra knew she would be attending. Perhaps they still saw her as just an orphan, or maybe they didn't see her as important enough because the Alpha King had only chosen her as his mate because she had volunteered for the role.

"He sent you an invitation?" Miranda interrupted; her eyebrows drawn together in disapproval as if she still saw herself as superior. Helga flashed a smug smile and got ready to execute her plan to outshine and embarrass the new Luna of Incarnadine.

"Oh my, that's awful. Don't tell me your mate didn't tell you? I mean, why else would I be here if I wasn't invited?" she teased, her eyes twinkling with mischief as Miranda's mouth hung open in surprise. The guests scattered around the reception room pretended to be engrossed in the festivities, but they couldn't help but watch as the drama unfolded before them with great interest.

"I-is it true? You invited her?" Miranda's voice quivered as Ezra finally joined in, and Helga found herself surrounded by the very people who had betrayed her. Even Lorena, her ex-best friend, was watching from the sidelines with her sister Rose.

"I did," Ezra said with conviction. "But that's because I want her to see what a true wedding should look like, one between two destined partners."

"Is that so?" Miranda felt a wave of relief wash over her as she smiled and wrapped her arms around Ezra who immediately reciprocated the gesture by kissing her on the forehead, showing their love for each other. He was determined to elicit some sort of reaction from Helga, convinced that she still harbored feelings for him and had only married the Alpha King out of desperation. He knew she couldn't stand seeing him happy with Miranda, and he was willing to do whatever it took to break through her tough exterior and make her see that marrying the Alpha King was a terrible decision.

"Pfft," Helga couldn't help but let out a scoff before letting out a snicker, causing Ezra, Miranda, and the previous leader of Incarnadine to all look at her with widened eyes. "Did you just mock I my marriage to the Alpha king just because we weren't destined to be mates? You have some guts; I'll give you that. But don't forget who I am now."

Ezra's body flinched as Helga's previously amused expression transformed into one of icy disdain, sending him the message that his insult may have crossed a line.

"You're an orphan, Helga and that wouldn't change just because you were crowned as Queen Luna," Miranda couldn't hold back any longer, interjecting with anger in her voice. She despised how Helga acted so superior and powerful when she had no royal bloodline or strong lineage to support it.

The guests collectively gasped at her words, and even Ezra was taken aback. He was about to interject, but Miranda was determined to speak her mind. She refused to back down until she put Helga in her rightful place by saying, "You'll always be a desperate woman who spreads her legs for a cursed tyrant just to gain higher status."

"Say that again," Helga taunted, her voice laced with power and authority as she stepped forward, feeling her inner wolf awaken and sensing Stella's aura rising alongside hers. The guests around them began to feel uneasy, the once intriguing drama now turning into a threatening situation. They looked at each other with fear in their eyes. Even the members of the Incarnadine pack were starting to tense up in Helga's presence; she reminded them of the powerful Alpha King. It was then that they truly realized why she had earned the title of Queen Luna-not because she volunteered, but because she was more than capable of ruling and leading them all alongside the Alpha King.NôvelDrama.Org holds © this.

"Tongue-tied, are we? I challenge you to repeat that." Helga taunted again as she closed the distance between herself and Miranda who was now trembling in Ezra's arms, feeling small compared to Helga's imposing presence and intense energy. Alpha Ezra had already known she was strong after surviving the Ardan Woods, but seeing her intimidating presence in action without even being in a physical fight made him understand that his ex-lover was far from ordinary.

"Stay away from my mate!" he growled at Helga, attempting to push her but before his hand could even touch her, he was hit with a familiar feeling. Suddenly, he couldn't breathe, and his legs gave out beneath him. Gasping for air, he looked towards Helga's back and finally understood what was happening. The murmurs around the hall amplified as an unfamiliar face appeared, one that seemed strangely recognizable because of his powerful presence.

Helga immediately turned her head, her eyes widening upon seeing Siegren without his mask walking towards her. Once he reached her side, he wrapped his arms around her waist and pulled her closer while glaring at Ezra who was still struggling to breathe.

"Do you have a death wish?" The Alpha King's icy tone sent a chill through the crowd, his piercing red eyes not leaving Ezra's "Try to lay a hand on my luna, and I will destroy you and your entire pack,"
