Man With Super Medical Skill (Matthew)

Chapter 3551 Firepower Saturation

Time ticked by, second after second.

Suddenly, Matthew heard a rapid flurry of footsteps coming from the direction of the Governor's Keep.

Orla, dressed in pale green, quickly made her way over. Seeing the bodies strewn across the ground, she turned to Matthew with concern in her eyes. "Matteo, are you alright?"

Matthew caught the hint of worry in her expression and gave a faint smile. "No need to worry, Governor Lew. I'm perfectly fine."

Orla gave a small nod, then turned to Toliver, who stood behind her. "Order the troops to commence full firepower saturation. I don't want a single prisoner from this group of rebels!"

Her voice was laced with cold malice. Although she had been wary and somewhat suspicious of Brennan before, she hadn't expected the man to be hiding so many soldiers in secret.

If Matteo hadn't returned in time...

The thought alone sent a chill through Orla's heart.

Toliver's face was equally grim, his expression hard and resolute. The audacity these b*stards have to threaten Miss Lew!

Even if Orla hadn't given the command, he would never let them walk away alive.

"Activate the highest level firestrike system. Target the forest one mile outside the Governor's Keep. I want complete saturation-leave nothing untouched. But make sure the blast radius doesn't reach the Governor's Keep."

"Copy that." A voice crackled through the walkie-talkie in Toliver's hand.

Moments later, Matthew watched as over a dozen missile-launch vehicles rolled into position in the distance. The missile tubes on each vehicle slowly lifted, locking in on the forest ahead. The area they were targeting spanned several square miles.

Orla wasn't interested in precision anymore. What she wanted now was pure destruction. She would level the entire forest. Maybe afterward, they could build a statue of Matteo on the razed land.

Inside the forest, the rebels had begun to grow uneasy. Their commander and his adjutant still hadn't returned. Confused expressions spread across their faces. According to the general, they were just going to kill some arrogant kid-how long could that possibly take?

A soldier tugged at the sleeve of the comrade in front of him. "Sev, if a missile dropped on us right now, you think we could still make a run for it?"

Sev gave the soldier a deadpan look. "If you can see the missile, what's the point in running? I've told you guys-quit spending all your time hooking up with women and read a d*mn book. Maybe if you started running now, you'd get away with just a lost limb or something."

His voice trailed off, a thoughtful look creeping onto his face.

The soldier continued, "One missile might just take off a leg. But what if it's, like, fifteen missiles coming at once?"

Sev's expression darkened with impatience. He raised his voice. "Then we lie down and wait to become dust."

However, just as he finished, he noticed the soldier actually lying down.noveldrama

"What the hell are you doing lying there?"

The soldier stared up at the sky, casually counting. "One, three, seven, fifteen... Sev, there's fifteen missiles up there. We should probably just lie down and die."

Sev stared at him for a second, then glanced up. He was just about to scold the guy for making things up to slack off when-wait...

His eyes snapped up to the sky, and sure enough-missiles, clearly visible now, were plummeting fast, locked precisely onto their section of the forest.

Sev's face twisted as he turned and kicked the soldier hard. "You idiot! You see missiles and don't think to tell me?! Everybody run! We've got incoming!"

As Sev's shout rang out, the first wave of missiles landed evenly across the area.

Boom!
