Mr. CEO Your Wife Has Wanted a Divorce for a Long Time

Divorce LONG 275

As Jimmy was thinking, Rex asked him again, “Jimmy, besides Uncle Hardin and my old man, do you know anyone else who might have Nolan’s contact information?”

Jimmy replied, “No, I don’t.”

After a pause, it seemed like he remembered something, and he said, “But didn’t you mention that Miss Brown has met Nolan? I think Miss Brown might have Mr. Nolan’s contact information. If reaching Mr. Nolan could solve the problem, Miss Brown should have contacted him herself by now.”

Rex said, “I’ve thought about that, too. But as the person directly involved, it’s difficult for her to contact Mr. Nolan and tell him that Johnny isn’t the one to blame, unless it’s absolutely necessary.”

Rex’s consideration was quite thorough. It seemed that he liked Julia even more than he had realized.

Rex continued, “Forget it. I’ll ask other people then.”

Jimmy responded, “Alright.”

Since Maggie was also a student of Nolan, and Johnny and Maggie had kept this information private, it was clearly related to confidential matters.

Thus, Jimmy didn’t feel it was appropriate to share this with Rex.

Thinking of this, Jimmy said, “I’ve interacted with Maggie a few times. I don’t think she’s the type of person you

described.”

“Rex, do you really think it’s because Maggie is worried that Johnny might like Miss Brown, which is why she’s targeted her repeatedly? Could there be some misunderstanding between them? Why don’t you ask Miss Brown or others to see if there’s some kind of grudge between them?”

Rex furrowed his brows upon hearing this. “Jimmy, are you speaking up for her?”

Jimmy replied, “I’m just speaking the truth.”

But Rex felt that Jimmy had been deceived by Maggie.

“I don’t think there’s any misunderstanding. I’ve seen it with my own eyes–how could I be wrong? As for you, don’t let her appearance fool you.” After a pause, he said, “Alright, let’s stop talking about her. Once you’re on vacation, let’s all get together.”

Jimmy had other things to take care of, so he didn’t say much more. After finishing his conversation with Rex, he hung up the phone.

Julia had been waiting outside, but neither Maggie nor Johnny had bothered to acknowledge her. They just let her

wait.

Julia truly intended to wait as long as it took.

However, she had other matters to attend to that afternoon. When she realized she wasn’t going to meet Johnny, she

had no choice but to leave.

For the next two days, she had more things to handle and couldn’t make it back to Cole to confront Johnny.

On Thursday, when she finally had some free time and planned to go back to Cole, she received a court summons.

When Sophia heard the news, she was furious. “It’s only been a few days, and they’ve already sent a court summons. Looks like they’re really determined to terminate the contract. What’s outrageous is that the court actually accepted this case! Such a small matter–how ridiculous! What kind of court is this?

Since the court had already accepted the case, as long as Johnny didn’t withdraw the lawsuit, they would have to go

to court.

Although she complained, even Sophia knew that the situation had reached a point where it was hard to turn back. noveldrama

“What should we do? Are we really going to sue them? What does Franklin say about this?”

Julia said calmly, “Franklin hasn’t been able to find a way to get Johnny to withdraw the lawsuit…”

Janice suddenly spoke up, “What if we contact the Gray family and inform them about this?”

They had previously thought that since Maggie was married and had children, the Gray family would never accept her being with Johnny.

Recently, when Johnny had gone on a blind date with a young lady from a prominent family, it seemed to confirm their suspicions.

The Gray family already had a negative opinion of Maggie. If they learned that Maggie had caused trouble between Johnny and his business partner due to some personal matters, they would likely become even more dissatisfied with her.

At that point, under family pressure, Johnny might actually drop the lawsuit.

As soon as Julia heard Janice’s suggestion, she immediately understood her idea.

This could indeed be a way forward.

However, Julia didn’t know any other members of the Gray family.

But she was certain that Franklin knew them.

Thinking of this, she called Franklin.

After hearing her thoughts, Franklin said, “Okay, I’ll help you contact the Gray family as soon as possible.”

Sophia also felt that this was a good idea.

She even became a little excited thinking about how, after the Gray family found out, Maggie and Johnny might break off completely.

But then she suddenly thought of something. “Why didn’t Franklin think of contacting the Gray family earlier?”

Julia lowered her gaze and said, “He’s married to Maggie. The Gray family probably knows something about their relationship, so it’s not appropriate for him to approach the Gray family about this. If we need to involve the Gray family, it would be better for someone else to take the lead.”

Sophia pouted. “Alright then.”
