My Substitute CEO Bride

Chapter 2532

"Am I just comforting myself?" Linden pondered as he looked at the blurry scene before him.

He turned his gaze toward the wall leading to the inner gate.

The wall was already crowded with his fellow disciples.

As for him? He felt like an outlier. He had never once considered climbing the wall to see the more distant scenery.

He was a strange person, content with the status quo and unwilling to change anything.

Keshawn often murmured in his ear, saying that Linden was still young and might enter the inner gate before turning 30.

However, Linden understood well that he would never be able to enter the inner gate, so he acted as if he lacked ambition.

Was he truly lacking in ambition, though?

Did he really want to live such a mundane life?

However, what else could he do?

His heart was filled with contradictions. What he could not achieve in his life,

those talented individuals in the courtyard could accomplish easily.

Linden did not plan to make excuses for himself as he disliked finding justifications.

He simply could not do it. He had even asked himself countless times if he really could not.

Yet even with his heart filled with reluctance, his body continued to fail him.

He lost interest in cleaning, and even though he was partially deaf, he felt impatient with the noisy surroundings.

Though he could not hear well, he could still sense the chaotic atmosphere, which he disliked.

He walked alone to the mountain gate.

The entrance to Hydra Hill felt magical.

It was calm and peaceful throughout the year, a feeling that brought him comfort.

He enjoyed sitting by the entrance, whether to take a nap or just daydream...

He had barely settled down when he sensed someone approaching.

The sensation of movement through the air was unmistakable to Linden.

However, he did not rush to open his eyes because he could feel that it was a senior disciple, indicated by the subtle breeze around her.

Feeling her sit beside him, he finally asked, "What's up? Aren't you going to take a look at the match?"

"What's there to see?" Her voice was mixed with a bit of tenderness and playfulness.

Any normal 18 or 19-year-old guy would be dazzled by that.

Unfortunately, Linden could not clearly hear her words and could only perceive what she said through the fluctuations in the air and slight vibrations near his

ears.

Linden continued, "What about the skills of those impressive outsiders?"

"I'm not really interested," she said with a pout.

Linden chuckled but kept his eyes closed.

"How strange that even our Aurora isn't interested in something."

"Are you implying that I'm superficial?" Aurora retorted.

"Haha, how could that be? You're the most reliable person in the world."

"Hmph, that's more like it."

At that moment, Aurora looked at Linden, who appeared relaxed, and asked the question that had been on her mind.

"Linden, have you... ever considered practicing martial arts?"

Linden paused in surprise before shaking his head.

"I haven't thought about it. Perhaps I'm just not cut out to be a martial artist."

"Isn't it true that you won't know until you try?"

Linden remained unmoved.

"Aurora, I appreciate your concern. Just focus on doing well in the inner gate."noveldrama

"Lindy, what do you mean by that? We both entered the mountain at the same time, but after all these years, you still have no desire to practice? This is Hydra Hill, a sacred place for cultivation! I'm really curious about what you're thinking." "What I'm thinking?"

"Huh?"

"Nothing. I'm just rambling." Linden stood up and walked toward the inner gate.

"Lindy, can you let me finish speaking?"

"Enough, Aurora." Linden waved his hand dismissively.
