Cedric seemed a little uneasy, which was rare. He maintained a stern expression and replied, "Mm, it's the place we went to before."

It had been Alfred's treat.

Noelle nodded. "I thought it sounded familiar."

Xenia covered her mouth and laughed mockingly. "Alright, stop pretending. The place you went to was just a knockoff of L Bistro, not the real deal.

"With your position as a school doctor, you probably can't even afford a meal there."

When Xenia saw Noelle with a man earlier, she couldn't resist coming in, and sure enough, she was with that poor school doctor. At least she hadn't gotten involved with Justin so Xenia could relax.

Noelle's expression turned cold. "It's just a meal. Is it really worth bragging about? Are you that hungry?"

Xenia smirked. "Why so upset, Noelle? I just want your school doctor's boyfriend to treat you better. Don't come to places like this dump for meals.

"At least go to a nice Western restaurant and have some good food."

Xenia felt a sense of victory, finally finding a way to one-up Noelle. At least her boyfriend was rich, and Noelle's boyfriend was just a poor school doctor.

"Xenia, with your pig brain, how can you even taste anything?"

Noelle finished speaking and grabbed Cedric's wrist. "Let's go." She didn't want to stick around and listen to Xenia's nonsense.

Cedric lowered his gaze, glancing at her briefly, and quietly followed Noelle out of the restaurant.

Xenia, who was still reluctant to let go, followed them. "Noelle, running away from home must not be easy. If you need money, just let me know."

Noelle turned back. "You should focus on your own business and tend to that foolish boyfriend of yours. After all, his mother isn't someone you should mess with."

Xenia hadn't stolen Noelle's glory or achieved any real success in this life. But how would this little bitch win over Justin's difficult mother? It seemed like quite a challenge.

Xenia stomped her foot in frustration.

How did Noelle know that Justin's mother didn't like her? She had tried giving gifts

to Justin's mother before, but the next day, they were returned along with a message saying they wouldn't accept anything of unknown origin.

It was clear they didn't like her.

Xenia's face twisted in anger. She was determined to marry into the Parham family and become a wealthy lady, overshadowing Noelle forever.

"Beep beep!" A sports car pulled up, honking.

Xenia hurried over, flashing a sweet, innocent smile. "You're here."

"What took you so long?"

"Oh, I ran into Noelle and her school doctor boyfriend. I thought they had broken up, but it turns out they're still together. Noelle's actually pretty loyal."

She had come to Yasnia, a prosperous place, but still couldn't shake off that poor school doctor boyfriend. It was such a stupid move.

Justin instinctively glanced toward the alley, curious about what Noelle's boyfriend looked like.

How could anyone like that violent woman, Noelle? They must have something wrong with their eyes.

He spotted Noelle right away, standing beside the tall man. Justin looked at Cedric's back and suddenly felt a sense of familiarity, though he couldn't place it at first.

It couldn't be him, right? Xenia suddenly blocked Justin's view, her voice dripping with jealousy. "What are you looking at?"

Could he be looking at Noelle? That wouldn't do.

Justin clicked his tongue. "Stop messing around."
