No longer a pushover (Noelle and Cedric)

Frank glared at Alfred. He would not allow anyone to make his sister filthy. Noelle would not be someone's mistress!

Alfred chuckled. "Fine! Give me all the assets of the Liddell family in exchange for Noelle!"

Frank nodded. 'Alright."noveldrama

Donovan said stiffly, "I did not agree to this. After all, it was Noelle's choice to debauche herself. It has nothing to do with the Liddells."

Frank stepped forward and glared at Donovan. "I'm willing to give up all my assets!"

"How much is your net worth? It's not enough!"

Alfred said mockingly, "It looks like the Liddells' genuine intentions are nothing special!"

Turning to Noelle, he smiled and said, "I said all that on purpose. Hasn't it tested how much their genuinity is worth?"

She smirked and replied, "I knew without needing you to test them."

Donovan scolded, "Noelle, why are you acting so smugly? Since you don't know what's good for you, that's fine. I'll make things clear before Mr. Parham. You've severed ties with the Liddells. Whatever trouble you get into has nothing to do with Liddells anymore!"

He had to clarify this as soon as possible to prevent their family from being dragged into this.

Noelle replied calmly, "Haven't we been unrelated for a long time?"

Donovan wasn't content. "Even if you get into prostitution, it will have nothing to do with the Liddell..."

Before he could finish, Cedric hurled a cup at him. There was still water inside.

Cedric threatened, "Say another word that the Liddell Corporation will be bankrupt by tomorrow."

Donovan was drenched. He glared at Cedric, unable to determine who he was. Considering how Alfred was there was well, he stomped off.

Frank stood in place and looked at Noelle. "No matter what Donovan says, you'll always be my sister. If you run into any trouble in the future, come to me for help."

Alfred mocked, "That's enough. Haven't you come to her for help upon running into problems? When has she ever looked to you for help? Save yourself the shame, won't you?"

Frank couldn't help but cough with a hand over his stomach. However, Noelle remained unmoved, as though she hadn't seen anything.

James was concerned. "Ms. Liddell, do you have any more medicine for Frank?"

Noelle smirked. "The medicine?"

"Yeah, he only feels better after having some of the medicine you prepared."

"That doesn't sound right. He loved Xenia's medicine, didn't he?"

Noelle would always remember how Frank praised the effort Xenia put into preparing medicine for him while leaving the bowl Noelle got up at four in the morning to brew for him untouched.

He was regretting it now, but it was too late for that!

Frank said frustratedly, "Noelle, I just found out that it was your medicine which worked instead of Xenia's porridge. I made a mistake. I was too blind to see the truth."

James helped him. "Indeed, Ms. Liddell. He found out about his mistake a while ago."

Alfred interjected, "If he found out a while ago, why is he only talking about it now? If you've got a procrastination problem, you could say this in the next life, really!"

James shut up.

Frank tried to explain, "Noelle, I just didn't know how to express it. I was scared you wouldn't forgive me."

The more he recalled what he did, the worse he felt and the more terrified he was of facing his problems head on.

Noelle said coldly, "I'm giving you an answer now. I won't forgive you!"

No way!

Frank stood in place numbly, suppressing his labored breaths.

He asked hoarsely, "Would you forgive me if I died?"

Frank bent down and picked up a glass shard from the floor to slit his wrist.
