No longer a pushover (Noelle and Cedric)

Chapter 480

Noelle smirked. "I was just making a guess. Why are you so nervous?"

Xenia stood beside Donovan with an aggrieved look. "Donovan, I know I'm not welcome in this family, especially since Noelle ran away because of me. The others have even more reason to dislike me.

"But I won't let anyone accuse my father. He died saving Uncle and Auntie."

She knew Donovan would feel guilty toward her if she emphasized this. Sure enough, Donovan reassured her, "Xenia, don't worry. No one will mistreat you as long as I'm here."

"I know, Donovan. But I'm just worried that Noelle won't be able to adjust after coming home. After all, she fought so badly with our brothers and almost sent them to jail."

Xenia deliberately brought this up, knowing it was a sore spot for them.

Frank cut her off. "The past is the past. We're family. There's no grudge that lasts overnight.

"But you, on the other hand, should stop bringing up unpleasant things. It makes it seem like you're trying to drive a wedge between us."

Xenia immediately put on a pitiful look. "Frank, I didn't mean it like that."

"Good. By the way, you should pack up and move out of the room in the Cloudscape Villa since Noelle is coming back to the Liddell family. That's her room." Frank scoffed.

Xenia's heart dropped at this. She hesitated before glancing at Donovan. "Donovan, didn't you say that room was mine? I never had a room of my own growing up. You promised it would be mine."

Donovan cleared his throat. "There are plenty of rooms in the villa. Noelle can just pick another one."

Noelle smirked. "Our parents bought that villa, right? And they did say the biggest room with the best view was mine."

She wasn't going to let go of what rightfully belonged to her.

Noelle turned to Xenia. "Even if you get to choose a room, it should be one that didn't already belong to someone else. My room is mine. No one but our parents has the right to change that."

Donovan frowned. "Noelle, it's just a room. Why make a fuss?"

Noelle sneered. "Exactly! I was here first. I

there, it somehow became

can you be?"

Xenia burst into tears at this. Donovan immediately defended her. "Noelle, do you have to make a scene the moment you return?"

Blake scoffed. "Donovan, it's your fault for letting Xenia stay in Noelle's room in the first place."noveldrama

Lucas added, "You're the one causing trouble here, Donovan."

Frank followed up, "Our parents left that room to Noelle. Donovan, you had no right to give it to Xenia."

Noelle crossed her arms. "Mr. Donovan Liddell, did you hear that? This is all your fault."

"Hmph! This isn't up to you all to decide!" Donovan snapped.

Noelle rolled her eyes. "Oh? But the four of us together own more shares than you. If it comes to it, who knows if you'll even remain the president of Liddell Corporation?"

Donovan's face fell. Xenia stepped forward. "Noelle, you—"

Before she could finish, Noelle reached out and yanked the necklace from her

neck. "This was my mother's. You think you deserve to wear it?"

She had noticed something off aboecklace earlier and nearly forgot about it. A mark appeared on Xenia's neck from the pull. She shouted, "Donovan gave that to me!"

Noelle retorted, "He can't give away what belonged to me."

Donovan immediately snapped, "Noelle, why are you so petty?"

Noelle laughed. She stepped forward and fixed Donovan's tie. He froze, unable to

tell what she was up to.
