Not Again Mr Whitney

Chapter 29 Bobby Roberts

Chapter 29 Bobby Roberts

swnovels.com Calvin got a call from Selena. On the phone, she asked him to come to the hospital as

soon as possible.

Calvin thought to himself as he walked, “Did something happen to the old man again? But that seemed

impossible.” Content © NôvelDrama.Org.

Outside the ward, Calvin found Selena talking to a middle-aged man.

When she saw Calvin, she smiled gently, “Calvin, there you are. I'd like you to meet Mr. Roberts’ son,

Bobby Roberts.”

Selena had been searching for his family and finally succeeded.

Calvin took a look at Bobby Roberts. He was about forty years old. He looked handsome and

respectable. He was giving Calvin a commando vibe and he could tell Bobby wasn’t just an ordinary

man.

“Minister Roberts, this is the man who saved your father’s life twice, Calvin Whitney.”

Bobby Roberts was excited and reached out his hand to him, “Thank you so much, young man. I would

never be able to see my father again if it weren’t for you.”

Calvin smiled humbly, “I just happened to meet him. Actually, I was also there that day and it’s not

entirely Mr. Bentley's fault.”

Selena didn't expect Calvin to defend her like that and she was a bit touched.

“Hahaha, what a nice fellow. You two look great together.”

Calvin was surprised to hear that. He just heard Selena called him minister. Nobody would be happy to

meet the person who almost killed his father.

He ate the Basilisk Venom Selena gave him and he had always been looking for an opportunity to

return that favor, which was the reason why he said that.

But Bobby seemed to misunderstand.

Selena felt shy and lowered her head. Her face had turned red.

“Minister Roberts, it’s been a huge misunderstanding.”

Bobby raised his hand and stopped him from talking, “Okay, I’ve figured it all out. Miss Bentley was

trying to dodge a red car who was running a red light and had no choice but to accidentally hit my

father. What’s more, my father broke several traffic rules at that time. Fortunately, you saved his life.”

Calvin was relieved that Bobby was so reasonable and Selena wouldn’t be in trouble.

During the conversation, Calvin learned that Bobby was an official in charge of infrastructure. He had

just come back from a research trip, so Selena couldn’t get in touch with him before.

“Calvin, how is my father?”

Calvin mused for a while, “Minister Roberts, your father hasn’t been well all along, so it's a good thing

that he’s been weakened from this car accident!”

Selena coughed hurriedly in order to stop his speech. Was he talking nonsense?

Bobby Roberts was puzzled, “How can this be a good thing?”

Calvin looked at him with a stern face, “Minister Roberts, if I'm not mistaken, your father is in a very

poor state of health, and he’s in his seventies. If I may say so, he would be gone in just a couple of

years...”

If it weren't for Bobby Roberts, Selena would have put a plug in Calvin’s mouth.

He didn’t take the minister seriously at all. Even if what he was saying was true, he shouldn’t just say it

straight in Bobby’s face.

Bobby just sighed, “Well, you're right. In fact, I took him to a lot of hospitals and the results were pretty

much the same.”

Bobby’s eyes turned red and he said in a sad tone, “When I was a little boy, and we were poor and I

had so many siblings.
