Nina’s lips turned up into a gentle smile. She honestly looked entirely different now. The innocence and purity that once filled her eyes were gone.
Although she had a smile, there was no sign of happiness in her eyes. Instead, there was a sense of coldness and distance.

Jonathan’s frown deepened a bit. He wrapped an arm around Cynthia’s shoulder and said softly, “I’ll still say the same thing: I can protect you for now, but not forever. Also, remember that Cynthia saved the day today; you should thank her.”
Nina finally looked at Cynthia, her eyes seemingly cold. She once really liked Cynthia, at first sight.

It was a music box. Inside the transparent glass, there was a zombie bride. The bride’s face looked skeletal, and she was wearing a blood–stained wedding dress. The most striking thing was the bride inside only had one leg.
Foamy, blood–stained bubbles swirled around the bride like snowflakes. The music was incredibly eerie.
Jonathan saw it, too, and immediately took the box. His face showed evident anger, and his voice became even colder. He said, “Nina! Don’t push it too far.!”
Nina burst into laughter and said, “Me, push it too far? Let me tell you, this is just the beginning. The pain you both caused me, I’ll return it tenfold or even a hundredfold!” With that, Nina turned her wheelchair around and went away.
Jonathan’s expression was grim. Cynthia stepped forward, gently patting his back to comfort him, “Forget it, don’t bother with her. Sometimes, what you think is right might not be good for others.”
Cynthia understood what Jonathan was feeling at the moment. He didn’t have no feelings for Nina. On the contrary, his feelings ran deep.

Ethan glanced around to make sure nobody was listening and leaned closer to Cynthia. He said, “Cynthia, there’s something that’s been bothering me lately, and I’d appreciate your help.”
Cynthia was surprised. She asked, “We’re not even in the same business. How could I possibly help you?” Recently, Ethan was at the peak of fame, with renowned directors worldwide scrambling to work with him.
His value in the entertainment industry was sky–high. Even Whitney, who usually looked down on people from the entertainment industry, was nice to Ethan earlier.
Cynthia seemed to have realized something. She asked, “Did Whitney take an interest in you?”
Ethan was taken aback. He replied, “What are you saying?”
Cynthia let out a small laugh, thinking it was unlikely, too. She said, “Oh, nothing, just joking.” She took a sip of her wine and continued, “So, tell me, what’s bothering you?”
Ethan lowered his head and said quietly, “My girlfriend isn’t talking to me anymore.”
Cynthia almost spat out her wine. The famous movie king was worried about such a small relationship issue.
When they filmed the variety show together, Cynthia knew that Ethan was dating someone and that his girlfriend wasn’t from the industry.
The media had been trying hard to dig up information. But Ethan had protected his girlfriend very well, so the media never found out who she was.
Cynthia looked helpless. She said, “Ethan, if your girlfriend won’t talk to you, there’s nothing I can do about it. I don’t even know her.”
Ethan suddenly looked up. He said, “You do know her.”
Cynthia looked surprised. She asked, “I know her? Who is she?”
Ethan looked around again to make sure no one was paying attention to them. He leaned closer to Cynthia’s ear and whispered two words.
Cynthia was utterly shocked. She said, “Ethan! Yasmine is only nineteen this year! How could you do this?”
