Please Give Me Another Chance Mrs Hamilton

Chapter 876

It only took five minutes to complete a series of checks. Brad looked at Nadine, who was tidying up the equipment, with newfound admiration. He hadn't known that she had such a talent for medicine.

Judging from the way she expertly handled the instruments, it was clear that she often did this. The woman who once only cooked him meals and cared for him at home now seemed so capable as she conducted medical tests.

Her expression was solemn and focused, her eyes fixed and unwavering on the equipment. Her demeanor when she worked was captivating. Watching her work made Brad's heart miss a beat.

Her fair, slender hands were still as beautiful as ever, but now they seemed to appear magical. For the first time, Brad was genuinely amazed by Nadine. It dawned on him that he barely knew the real her.

While Brad was absorbed in watching Nadine, she had already stopped what she was doing, deftly pulling out a pen from the pocket of her white coat to quickly jot down a string of numbers.

"Your blood pressure is a little high. I suspect it might be related to your heart. I suggest you stay calm and keep a positive mindset, Mr. Hamilton. Also, stick to light meals and avoid spicy or greasy foods."

Then, she put all the medical equipment back on the medical cart and turned toward the door.

"Mr. Hamilton, you've just undergone emergency surgery and need to rest. You mustn't move around or get upset. Or else, your heart won't hold out much longer," she said with her back to Brad, hiding the tears in her eyes.

Noticing that she was about to leave his room, he hurriedly said, "Oh no, Ms. Scott. My chest hurts!"

He had already done his homework-Nadine was Seraphina's personal assistant and one of the fastest-rising nurses at the hospital. Besides her hard work, her talent was a big factor in her success.

Seraphina had pointed out that

Nadine was incredibly talented and that it would be a waste if she didn't pursue medicine. Consequently, when she was brought on board, Brad had specifically asked her to mentor Nadine.

But now, Nadine was growing more independent and seemed to care less about him. How could he not feel let down?

Add Jack's issue into the mix, and

his heart felt like it was under constant strain. When he wasn't with Nadine, he couldn't stop thinking about her and planned how he'd confront her when they finally met. noveldrama

But when she was right in front of him, all that remained in his heart was joy, and

he completely forgot about all the plans he'd made.

Now that Nadine was about to leave, the fire in his heart was replaced with

longing. No matter what, he had to make her stay.

Nadine was just about to open the door when his words stopped her in her tracks. She turned around and rushed toward Brad, who was sitting up in the bed. "Where does it hurt? Tell me."

At that moment, Brad was a VIP patient, while she was just a nurse. She was essentially a "foot soldier" who couldn't afford to offend him. All she could do was ensure he was satisfied with her treatment.

Brad had lowered his head, but from the corner of his eye, he noticed her walking toward him, a sly glint flickering in his eyes. He was very pleased with her reaction.

No matter what, he believed that she still cared about him. If she didn't, she wouldn't have turned around.

Brad's heart leaped from that gesture alone, and he instantly felt happy. Clutching his chest, he pointed at his heart and pretended to be in pain. "Right here. It hurts!"

She knew she couldn't take it lightly when she saw him pointing to his chest. She immediately stepped forward to examine him. Her slender fingerslightly touched his chest as she unbuttoned his shirt, her soft hands brushing against his

sun-kissed skin.
