Chapter 131 The Beginning of Hatred
Chapter 131 The Beginning of Hatred
On the way back home, Antonio kept looking at the scenery outside the window for fear that he would
speak with Adelaide harshly and do something wrong. He kept reminding himself of what Adelaide had
paid out for him and kept telling himself that he had had an affair and was guilty of it. He comforted
himself that it was okay and that Adelaide must have said those words just to annoy him because he
knew that Adelaide was not that kind of person.
He kept comforting himself and finally his anger drained away when they were home.
When he helped her get off the car, he saw the bruise on her forehead under moonlight. He
immediately remembered that he pushed her into the car too hard and he seemed to hear a muffled
sound of "bang". He asked anxiously, "Did I hurt you just now? Should we go to the hospital?"
Adelaide looked at her coldly and thought that she shouldn't entertain hope for him. She wondered
what he would say if she hadn't been there when she confessed. Hurt her and then comforted her?
If it were in the past, Adelaide would be moved by him, but not now.
Adelaide's voice was as cold and proud as the moon hanging high in the sky, "No!"
Adelaide acted as if she was unfamiliar with Antonio, making him feel very sad. The bruise on her
forehead was also a silent reprimand for his rudeness. He pursed his lips and wanted to say that he
didn't mean to do it, but she didn't give him the chance.
The room was so empty that there would be echoes when they talked. Adelaide was always full of
compassion. They should have recruited some new housemaids and housekeeper, but she didn't care
about it and tried hard to find someone to do it for them. Antonio alone also couldn't hire new men, so
there was nothing different of the house compared with the past. Although Damla didn't do anything
bad to Adelaide, she often cursed and abused her privately.Property © of NôvelDrama.Org.
Back into the room, Antonio insisted on living in the same room with her, but Adelaide was determined
to sleep alone. She spoke coldly and definitely wouldn't concede. He half closed his eyes. Currently,
facing her, he could only make a concession.
Slowly and unwillingly, he walked to the door. Finally, he gritted his teeth and strode to Adelaide.
Regardless of her resistance, he held her into his arms, "Adelaide, Adelaide, forgive me please. I knew
that I was wrong."
It was not easy for Antonio to apologize. How could a proud person realize his fault? Did he apologize
just for fear that his wife would have an affair with other man and cuckolded him? Adelaide wondered.
Could his apology save the relationship at the side of cliff at this moment?
The answer was clear.
Adelaide swore in her heart that she wouldn't believe him anymore. She pushed him away vigorously
with clenched fists and looked alienated, "You go or I go?"
She was no longer conscientious, no longer centered on Antonio and no longer cowardly. When she
lost her baby, she was extremely eager that she was capable enough to protect the baby.
Losing something meant that it was lost forever.
If an apology worked, what was the police for?
Adelaide looked at him with a sneer. She used to like his appearance which didn't change, but she was
not attracted by him. She crossed her arms across her chest and felt that every behavior of him was
very ridiculous.
He still wanted to explain, but Adelaide didn't want to listen any more.
“Well, Adelaide, don't drive me away. I won't say anything about it if you don't want to listen. But Aadam
is absolutely not a good person. When we were in the Aegean Sea..." Antonio put down his hand
gently with his palm facing down and the back of his hand facing up, as if suppressing her bad mood.
He was stopped by Adelaide before he finished his words, "Don't mention the Aegean Sea! You
watched my child die, acquired the Swift's Group and married me just to get it. And think about what
you did to me in the recent two years. What makes you so shameless to talk about the Aegean Sea
with me?"
Some uncles and aunts disliked Flora and her daughter. This was largely because most women in their
family were rich ladies. Some of them had powerful parents; some were domineering. They all hated
the other women who broke up other people's marriage. If the other woman wasn't their relatives, for
their own benefit, the other woman would always be their rivalry.
Not to mention that her mother helped a lot when the Swift's Group was just founded. It could be said
that her mother was as excellent as Greyson in terms of business. But she had to resign and took care
of family ever since after she was pregnant.
Her father worked extremely hard to set up the Swift's Group. Even though she disliked or even hated
him, they were still blood relatives. What was worse, Antonio married her just to acquire the Swift's
Group! What about the love she spoke in excitement and vowed solemnly in front of her father? It had
become ashes and was gone with the wind.
The Aegean Sea? Did he took her there out of love and care for her or guilty?
She couldn't tell whether what he said was true or not, so the simplest and most effective way was not
to talk to him.
Adelaide pushed him out of the door with great force, warning herself that she must not be confused by
his lies. She suffered a lot in those sleepless nights and she would pay him back with interest. She
clenched her fists, deliberately ignoring the reason why her heart ached.
The next day, Antonio fell to the ground when she opened the door. She cried out in surprise, "Ah!"
Obviously, she was scared by him.
Which man would sleep at the door of Adelaide's bedroom here? The answer was obvious. She kicked
Antonio who was still asleep, frowned, and said unhappily, "Go back to your room if you want to sleep."
At this time, he woke up and rubbed his sleepy eyes. Remembering what had happened last night, he
looked at Adelaide aggrievedly, "My wife locked the door."
People were strange. When she clung to him, he pretended to be cold and would not utter more than
two words when he answered her question. Now, when she no longer clung to him because she was
tired and knew him well, he clung to her and wouldn't let her go. Originally, he never showed his
weakness, but now he learned very well and was able to use it as he wished.
However, she lost the enthusiasm she had at that time. She was the kind of person who was so sad
that she was heartbroken.
"Antonio, I won't forgive you." she glared at him who was sitting on the ground and said word by word,
as if both talking to him and reminding herself. Only torture was left when love was gone!
"Listen to my explanation!" Antonio stood up quickly and took Adelaide's hand with extreme sincerity in
his eyes, "Adelaide, you had been unwilling to listen to me. I met Clarissa just because she claimed
that she had video relating to Koby's death and we could catch the murderer with it. But she didn't talk
about it when I was there and just asked some boring questions. I admit that I was so careless that the
baby died. I know that I was wrong and I'll make up for it."
Hearing this, Adelaide sneered as if hearing a joke, "Make up for it? Can you give the baby back to
me?"
Antonio was stunned there and didn't talk for a long time. He knew that she had a knot of distress in
her heart over this, but he didn't expect that she minded it so much.
