President Williams Woos His Ex-wife Again

Chapter 43 Mind the Owner Before Beating a Dog

Chapter 43 Mind the Owner Before Beating a Dog

Beth was quivering, and she groaned desperately, “No!”

Karl ignored her, no matter how hard she cried. There was a tinge of scruple in his eye, but it was soon

replaced by hatred.

The baseball bat was raised high and swung down. Beth knew it was useless to beg him, so she

struggled frantically.

‘No, I can’t let him break my hand, otherwise, how can he face me when he knows the truth in the

future?’

Because of her struggle, the bat aiming at her waist strayed and hit her shoulder instead, making a dull

sound.

She made a sharp cry of pain. Her shoulder was numb. It was burning hot and painful. Her bone

seemed to be broken. Her face was pale, and she frowned hard because of the sharp pain.

Karl coldly said, “You rubbish!” Seeing the bat didn’t hit her wrist, he didn’t know whether to feel upset

or lucky for her. She was in such great pain now, but he didn’t feel good either.

Carina made a faint voice at this time, “Karl, just let her go. She’s my cousin. Even though she wanted

to frame me, she’s still my blood kin. Though she hurt me, I’m fine now. Just forgive her.”

Beth’s eyes were scarlet. Had it not been for the pain in his shoulder, she would have clapped for

Carina’s pretending skills. ‘She’s just the same as Kathy! She’s not helping, but exacerbating my

situation.’

“Carina, she keeps hurting you. I won’t forgive her.” Karl said to her gently.

“They couldn’t break her hand. I’ll do it myself!” Karl exclaimed. He saw Carina as the one who had

saved his life, so he treated her well. Now he was going to break Beth’s hand himself.

Beth was terrified. But Karl had taken a knife with him and walked towards her slowly. He stared at her

haughtily, “Beth, you make me sick.”

‘Sick? I make him sick? I sold my blood and my kidney for him, but now I just make him sick.’ Beth’s

pain in her heart was much sharper than that in her shoulder. She was unable to cry, and just tried to

retrieve her hand, trembling.

But Karl stepped on her fingertips, and she froze. “How painful will it be if this knife runs through your

palm?” his voice was soft, but his eyes were cruel and icy.

The silver blade reflected in her scarlet eyes. She could feel the extreme coldness. The knife was

sharp. She dared not to think how painful would it be if it stabbed in her palm. Her heart broke into

pieces.

“You hurt Carina, and I’ll break your hand. From now on, we won’t owe each other anything!” Karl said

softly, but he looked vicious. Every word from him seemed to pierce through her body.

“No…” said Beth distractedly, sobbing, “I didn’t do it. She deserves it. She lied to you. I know I hurt you,

but it wasn’t Carina who raised money for you secretly. Please trust me this time, Karl! Please!”

Just as she finished, Karl squatted. Her hand was fair with long fingers and clear knuckles, but he held

the knife tight and thrust it through the back of her hand.

He didn't listen to her explanation, and used the knife to cut off their relationship. But hadn’t she paid

him what she had owed him with her blood and her kidney? Hadn’t it been enough?

“Ah!”

The blade pierced her flesh. She was flooded by the overwhelming pain. Blood spattered on his face.

She kept blinking, and her tears kept streaming down. She was unconscious and dying in pain. So NôvelDrama.Org copyrighted © content.

painful… The pain she suffered from giving away her blood and her kidney did not hurt more than him

breaking her hand by himself.

Neither Aaron nor Karl believed in her. All those who she cared deserted her. She felt herself ran out of

hope to keep up. She slumped on the ground, her injured right hand staying still. There was dead

silence in the air. The thick smell of blood was pervading.

It was so painful that she was losing her consciousness gradually. Her eyes were getting bleary, as if

she was to fall in the darkness of hell.

The moment she was about to pass out, she heard a cold voice of a man, “Brown, you broke her

hand?” It sounded familiar, but strange and distant. It suddenly reminded her of a man, Aaron, her love.

It must be his voice. She could recognize it.

She thought she was going to die today, but she had never expected Aaron to come when she was

suffering.

She struggled to open her heavy eyelids, but could not see anything clearly, only his tall silhouette.

She couldn't move. She couldn’t approach her love. Her hand kept bleeding, leaving a smear of blood

on the floor, which looked frightening.

Aaron had planned to sign their divorce papers with her, but his secretary told him she had come to

look for Karl.

Hearing she had gone to find other men, Aaron left Kathy alone in the hospital and rushed out to catch

Beth. He didn’t know why he had done this. He was outraged on his way here, but he had never

expected to see this scene.

His eyes were darkened when he saw the knife cut through the palm of her hand, and her little face

was white as paper. Aaron had no idea why he got so angry. Maybe he thought he was the only one

who could hurt Beth, ‘She’s mine. My dog! How dare the others to come to hurt her?’

Karl curled his lips and snorted, “Aaron, you care about her?”

‘Care? Impossible. I hate her. She set me and Kathy apart. How would I even care about her?’

There seemed to be fire burning in Aaron’s eyes. He approached Karl step by step, “No one can bully

my dog except me! Mind the owner before you beat a dog!”

Hearing such mean words, Beth’s tear rolled down even she had closed her eyes. ‘His dog. I’ve always

been his dog,’ Beth felt her heart broken.
