Reclaiming Her Heart

She grabbed Ann and yanked the scarf off her neck.

Ann had a rough night and overslept this morning. She had stayed over at that guy's place and completely forgot to set an alarm. By the time she got the call that Connie was causing a scene at the office, it was already too late.

The marks on her neck were instantly exposed. Connie even pulled down her shirt to make sure everyone could see them clearly.

"Look at this! This tramp didn't come to work because she was with another guy. Who knows how many guys she's been with? These marks are from those random dudes. It's disgusting! Ann was a woman with no one to rely on. The monthly phone call and the money she sent were her only connections to the world. It was her lifeline.

Connie's face turned ugly. She wanted to argue but didn't dare after meeting Raymond's gaze. She just muttered.

"You're finally paying for all your wickedness, you blind witch!" Connie exclaimed.

But Selena, already being led into the office by Ann, didn't hear this.
