Rejected By Him Claimed By His Uncle (Rita and Leo)

Chapter 82

My soul left my body for a while before coming back again.

"Aunt Freya is what?" I could not believe my ears. Maybe I did not hear her correctly. Aunt Freya can not be missing. She was the only blood relation that loved me.

"What's wrong?" Leo asked, seeing how tensed I was. He was on his feet now. He bowed his head and brought his ear close to my phone.© NôvelDrama.Org - All rights reserved.

"Your Aunt is missing. We are still looking for her though."

"Where did the picnic take place?" I asked. Even if it was outside the pack, I was leaving for that place this very moment. Aunt Freya could not go missing. She was one of the nicest persons I have ever met. "Luna, I can't-"

"Where did the picnic take place?" I snarled. "You still tell me this very moment."

"Mount Danre. The picnic took place on Mount Danre." It was a popular mountain located in this pack, but I have never been there before. I cut the call immediately and turned to my mate.

"Aunt Freya is missing and-"

"Mount Danre," He chipped in. "Got it."

He grabbed my hand. "We should go now."

I nodded and ran with him to his car. It was a long drive, but we said nothing to each other. I was thinking of Aunt Freya and Leo decided to give me space.

We finally got to Mount Danre and we met the search party organized to find Aunt Freya. My mate and I joined them and we searched for her till night fall.

"We should go back home," Leo said, but I ignored him. I kept on calling on my aunt till I began to cry. He hugged me.

"I have to find my aunt. I have to find her. Aunt Freya is my only family. If anything happens to her. I will never be able to forgive myself."

"Nothing will happen to her. Let's go home now."

"Alpha, it's risky to go back to the mansion now," One of the wolves searching for Aunt Freya with us said.

"Are you trying to tell me that my pack is not safe?" Alpha Leo asked.

"Not really, Alpha. I just want to make a suggestion. There is an extra tent. You should use it. Then by morning, you go back to your place."

"Where's the tent?" I asked. We were not leaving this mount until Aunt Freya was found.

"I don't think this place is safe," Leo said. He looked terrified.

"I'm not leaving this place until I find my aunt. You can go back to the mansion if you want to."

"I don't want anything to happen to you."

"And, I don't want anything to happen to my aunt," I snarled and then I began to cry. I lost my mother, grandma and grandpa. I was not ready to lose Aunt Freya. Maybe she tried to escape from the asylum, but I know her. She would have let 1/4

me know. I had to make sure she was safe before I leave this place. I will rather die trying to find her, than to never find her at all.

"Fine. We will stay here. But, only for this night," Leo said, but I did not argue with him. It did not mean I agreed with him though. If I don't find Aunt Freya, I was definitely not leaving this place.

It was hard to sleep knowing that Aunt Freya was missing and might be in danger. I finally slept though, but when I woke up, Leo was nowhere to be found. It was the same with most other wolves that joined us in looking for aunt Freya. A few wolves was around though.

A young she-wolf walked towards me. She looked like she was in her teens. "Luna Rita, I thought I would never find you."

I was confused. Who was she? I was Luna and I knew most people knew me, but this particular she-wolf talked like she had been looking for me for a long time now. "Were you looking for me?"

She nodded.

Maybe she heard from someone that I was around and decided to have a look. Sadly, I was in no mood for meets and greets.

"Why were you looking for me?" I decided to ask anyways.

"I was told to find you." She drew closer and added in a whisper. When you hear what I am about to tell you, promise me you won't shout."

I was becoming impatient, but I was a little curious. What could she possibly say that will make me shout? "I promise."

"Promises are sacred. You must keep them," She said with a smile on her face.

"What do you have to tell me?"

"I know where your aunt is?"

On hearing her words, I froze. "You said what?"

"That I know where your aunt is. She was kidnapped."

I opened my mouth to scream.

"You promised not to shout." Her voice grew

dark.

I closed my mouth immediately. "Do you know where they took her to?"

"Of course. That is why I'm here."

"Take me there. Wait a minute." I brought out my phone. "I will call the Alpha now and-"

She snatched my phone away. "You are not calling anybody. I was sent by the kidnappers. They are asking for five hundred thousand dollars in cash."

"I don't carry that much money around," I said, still confused about what was going on. They gave me a short notice. Did they think I will carry that much money around?

"Then, you will have to come with me. Don't worry, if you comply, nobody will die. But if you don't, that's when they will be problem. They will see your Aunt as useless and kill her." "How do I know you're not lying?" My voice quivered. If this child turned out to be lying, I will definitely never let her go scot free.

She took out her phone and made a video call. The person at the other end picked and immediately I saw Aunt Freya. She was surrounded by a few masked thugs. "So, are you coming or not?"

"I am," I replied.

She nodded. "But first, I will hold on to your phone. Don't try to contact anybody. If we see any suspicious move, then we are killing your aunt. Am I clear?"

I nodded. I had to play along. The only thing I could think of right now was meeting my aunt. Nothing else.

"Just follow me. And when you do, keep a neutral face. I would have told you to wear a smile, but you're looking for your Aunt. It will be suspicious of you smile."

I did exactly as I was told and we finally got to where a car picked us up.

After a long drive of two hours, we finally got to our destination. We stopped at a beautiful tall building. No one will guess that someone was held hostage in there. Before we got into the building, we were scanned to make sure we had no weapons on us. I followed the young she-wolf who brought me to this place to the very top of the building. Immediately, I got there, I saw Aunt Freya. I screamed her name immediately and ran to hug her, but I was blocked by the thugs I had seen in the video call earlier.

I moved backwards and glared at them. "I'm here just like you asked me to be. What do you want from me?" I asked.

"Nothing much. We just want you in exchange for your aunt."

The person talking was behind me. His voice was familiar.

"You asked for money earlier on."

"I don't need your money. It is you that I want."

I turned around to see who was talking and I flinched immediately I saw who it was.

It was my father.

"What do you want from me?" I snarled.

"Nothing. You're a threat to my freedom, so I just want you dead

ALPHA LEO'S POV

It was hard to sleep throughout the night. It was my first time of sleeping outside in an exposed place like this with my mate and I was scared that something might happen to her if I joined her to sleep, so I spent the whole night watching her sleep. My mind flickered to all that have been happening in our lives lately. It has been from one challenge to another. I wondered if we would ever have any chance to spend more time with each other.

Challenges were nothing new to me, but seeing my mate suffer too was tortuous. I wanted the suffering to end. I just wished -we could find her aunt and never have to deal with any problems again. Morning finally came and I went out to look for food for us to eat with a few other wolves.

When I gathered enough food for my mate and I, I made a U-turn back to the tent.

All the time I was away, I was worried about her and I hastened my steps back.

On my way back, I got a phone call from one of the warriors I put in charge of finding the place Rita's aunt told her to go to at New York.

I wanted to find out who was trying to poison my Luna.

"Have you found anything?" I asked immediately I picked the call

"Not really. But, we found something that would pique your interest," the warrior replied.

"And what is that?"

"It's about the Luna's father. We saw his name in the purchase book of this place. Some years ago, he bought shadowsting, a contraband. That was the same time his mate and the Luna's mother died."
