Secrets Of The Neglected Wife

Chapter 951

Chapter 951:

Of course, she was afraid! She hadn’t expected Allison to be so reckless—the kind of person who would actually blow up a research institute.

Though she didn’t understand why, Melany guessed that Allison must have done it to impress the powerful Kellan, which only made her feel more confident in making threats.

“If you lay a hand on me, all the evidence will come out. When your dirty work for Kellan is exposed, he’ll definitely kill you to keep you quiet,” Melany threatened. She gripped her phone tighter, hoping that her words would have the desired effect.

“I want to meet you in person at the Stevens family house,” she added. She worried that meeting outside might give Allison a chance to hurt her. The Stevens family house felt like a safer option.

Melany was still thinking of ways to convince her when Allison quickly replied.

“The Stevens family house? Sounds good,” Allison said, her tone unreadable. There was something in her eyes, something hidden. “I’ll come see you now.”

Allison knew that Melany must have some evidence. Otherwise, she wouldn’t be foolish enough to request a meeting. But Allison didn’t think that worried her.

Though she wasn’t sure what Melany wanted, she knew she needed to handle any so-called evidence.

Just as she was about to leave, Kellan walked in from outside. He frowned when he saw her and asked, “You seem upset. What’s going on?”

“Melany wants to meet with me,” Allison replied. She sighed, casually gathering her wavy hair and pulling it into a tidy ponytail. “She might have proof of my involvement in Fleeingland, so I need to meet her and find out what she wants.”

Kellan’s tone grew cold. “She’s not someone you can trust.”noveldrama

“Don’t worry. We’re meeting at the Stevens family house. She won’t be able to do anything to me there,” Allison assured him. “Could you give me a ride? You can just wait outside,” she asked.

“Sure.” Kellan nodded. “I’ll have people keeping an eye on the Stevens house.”

In the past, he might have felt worried or jealous. After all, Colton was at the Stevens’ house.

But now, he felt confident enough to let Allison go. Deep down, he knew that he and Allison were meant to be.

Twenty minutes later, Allison walked into the Stevens’ home.

For the past three years, she had cooked meals and done the laundry here, waiting every day for Colton to come back. Now, as she returned to this familiar place, she felt surprisingly calm. There was no discomfort, which surprised her.

“Ms. Clarke, please take a seat,” Melany said, sitting comfortably on the sofa. She exuded the air of an elegant woman of high status as she studied Allison closely. “It’s just the two of us here today, so you don’t have to worry about our conversation getting out.”

The entire Stevens family was already aware of Melany’s pregnancy. Everyone treated her with utmost care, and her position in the family had greatly improved. The servants were so cautious that they hardly dared make a sound, especially since Melany had been in a foul mood lately. Once she had sent them away, the living room fell into complete silence.
