Chapter 3191
Chapter 3191
Isabella began to flip through Austin's information, focused.
It was simple. All it said was that he had two brothers and his parents were retired, with the older brother married and had a harmonious family. He had his own business and some achievements. Though he was technically the boss now, he still loved cooking and having loved cooking ever since he was young.
Austin's information did not state that he was one of the Wiltspoon Yorks. Though it was possible Isabella's secretary was simply unable to find that out, it was also possible that Zachary was helping Austin hide his status so Isabella would not be scared of employing him.
However, Zachary had not concealed Austin's success as a business owner because Austin needed some achievements to show off, lest Isabella eliminate him as a potential romantic interest because he was poor.
Zachary was also worried the O'Connor elders would look down on Austin as not all rich families were like the Yorks who only prioritized character and personality.
Still, although that was the case, all the granddaughters-in-law Grandma May had picked were from distinguished backgrounds and were suitable matches for the Yorks.
"What do you think? Austin's a decent character, isn't he?" Tati asked Isabella excitedly.
Isabella handed the paper to her instead of replying.
Tati took and read through it before putting it down with a smile. "He has his own successful business and even opened a few branches. Why did he apply to work for us then? We pay quite a lot, but I don't think it tops what he earns."
After a moment of silence, Isabella answered, "Maybe he heard that I'm a picky eater and applied to challenge himself."
Although Austin was young, he loved cooking since young and had over a decade of experience. Isabella trusted he would not be bad at cooking.NôvelDrama.Org copyrighted © content.
He had probably traveled all this way to apply for the position because she was such a picky eater that anyone who got her recognition was definitely an excellent chef. He probably saw it as a challenge.
Tati laughed. "That really is possible.
If he's loved cooking ever since he was a kid, he might be a little obsessed with cooking. You know what? I'm looking forward to dinner even more now."
She continued eagerly, "If he passes, Isa, tell Dominic that I'm eating all my meals at your place from now on."
Isabella said wryly, "When have we ever let you go hungry whenever you wanted to join us? But if you do, you must exercise every day to be in
shape. I don't have spare time to get you back in shape after."
Tati was silent for a moment before she gave up. "Forget it, then. I'll just join you once in a while. Exercising every day is terrifying. Been there, done that, don't wanna do it again."
Tati recalled when she ate a little too
happily and, failing to control her weight slowly became as round as a ball. Then Isabella forced her on a
diet and daily workout regime. It was
so tiring.
It took six months for her to get in shape. Ever since then, Isabella would remind her to mind her food intake and exercise every time she felt peckish so she did not get out of shape again. Isabella carelessly shoved Austin's information into her drawer and said, "You should go back to your work."
"Yeah. I'm going now, Isa, but let's go home together later." Tati knew Isabella would not go home so early and obediently returned to her office.
Around half past four, Dylan arrived at York Corporation to wait for Zachary to get off work so they could head to Wiltspoon Hotel together as planned.
In Zachary's office, he saw Serenity and Sonny, who arrived five minutes earlier.
"Hey, Serenity," Dylan greeted respectfully.
Serenity hummed in acknowledgment.
