The Divorced Heiress’s Revenge

Chapter 2338

"Mr. Justin, what do you mean by that?" Clarice looked up at Justin's red and angry eyes. She frowned with a mocking smile and said, "She's from Savrow. That was unexpected for me too. If I had known, I wouldn't have let you come here for nothing and find nothing, would I?"

Clarice was no longer the delicate, sweet girl she once was. Now, she had powerful backers, and this fierce display of rage did not intimidate her at all.

"Why didn't you say so earlier?!" Ian burst out in frustration, barely able to stop himself from hurling insults. "Do you know how important today's appointment was between Mr. Salvador and Young Madam?! Mr. Salvador rushed over here because of your ridiculous lead! Now you tell us she's not in Fogville but in Savrow?! What are you playing at? Did you plan this just to ruin Mr. Salvador's meeting with Young Madam?!"

"Young Madam? Didn't Mr. Justin and Ms. Thompson already break up? Is it appropriate to keep calling her 'Young Madam'?" Clarice's eyes turned cold, and every mention of "Young Madam" pricked her ears like thorns. "Besides, how was I supposed to know they had prior plans? Even if they did, I assume finding his life-saving benefactor would be more important to Mr. Justin, right?"Exclusive © material by Nô(/v)elDrama.Org.

Indeed, Little Dove proved to be hundreds of times more important in Justin's heart than Bella ever could be!

Thinking of that bitch who once nearly cost her life on the streets, now possibly standing in the biting wind, tasting the bitterness of abandonment by the man she loved sent a thrill of satisfaction through Clarice's body, making her blood surge with excitement.

Justin's handsome face turned dark with anger, his eyes swirling with an ominous rage, sharp and ruthless like a demon's.

He may have lost his emotional capability. But that did not mean he was not capable of being angry.

"Ah!" Clarice gasped as Justin forcefully pushed her onto the sofa, her neck colliding painfully with the wooden frame of the backrest, making her gasp sharply from the sting.

"Ms. Amaryllis, you'd better pray that my benefactor truly is in Savrow." Justin shot her a gloomy look and turned on his heel, striding toward the door.

Clarice's hand went to her aching neck as she glared at his retreating back with venomous eyes.

'Pft! Angered by his own incompetence. What could you possibly do by venting your rage on me? The task given by the Boss is done. Besides, why is he even angry at me? I wasn't the one who broke the promise and abandoned Bella. It was you!

Justin's steps quickened until he was nearly running. In the freezing cold, where the temperature was a chilling minus 20 degree Celsius, he was sweating from urgency, soaking through his suit.

Just as he reached the car, his phone rang

A drop of hot sweat trickled down his jawline as he pulled the phone from his pocket, breathless.

The caller was Steven.

"Hello, Mr. Lovett." Justin answered as calmly as he could manage, though his heart pounded with a strange, uneasy rhythm.

"Mr. Salvador, where is Ms. Bella?!" Steven's anxious voice pierced his ear. "Why can I reach you but not her? Weren't you both hiking together?"

Justin's body swayed as the veins at his temple throbbed. He clutched the car door for support. "I am at Fogville right now. I didn't go hiking."

"You didn't go? Why not?!"

"Something came up. I sent Ms. Thompson a message beforehand. She should have seen it." Justin did not attempt to shirk responsibility, stating plainly, "It was my failure to keep my promise. I owe her. I will make it up to her when I'm back in Savrow."

"Make it up to her... Justin, do you hear yourself?!" Steven was furious and angrily said, " When you divorced Ms. Bella years ago, you had a car accident and suffered a concussion, but you still insisted on going to the City Hall anyway.

"You both have been together for so long, and you've always put her first no matter what! Even if the Salvador family went bankrupt or the world ended, you would never leave her behind! But now? In your eyes, has she become a burden you're eager to get rid of, someone worthless to you? Just because you don't love her anymore, can you treat her with such negligence and disrespect?"

Justin's thin lips trembled, and his breath came harshly, as though a brutal hand was gripping his throat. "Where is she now? I'll go find her."

"I can't reach her phone! I can't contact her!" Steven, who was always composed and reliable, now sounded completely frantic. "There's a storm warning tonight. Ms. Bella is stubborn. She must have gone to hike the mountain alone! I'm on my way to Mount Jaglee now!"

A deafening buzz filled Justin's head, a sharp pain that made him shudder, overwhelming him.
