The Double or more Life of the Fake Heiress (Mirabella)

Chapter 1162

"If you want to say I hate Donald, then fine, go ahead. My daughter just won't do it," Delilah said, gripping her daughter's hand tightly without even glancing at her.

"Do you really need Dad to die before you're happy?" Kitty slammed the table, sarcasm dripping from her voice.

Delilah laughed in frustration, "Don't act so righteous. Even the top hospital in the city can't help Donald. What gives you the right to guilt-trip me and my daughter?"

Saving Donald wouldn't earn us any praise, and if it didn't work out, all the blame would likely fall on my daughter.

Delilah knew her siblings too well-always selfish and greedy.

"Because the Cunningham family blood runs through your veins, and your daughter once claimed she was eighty percent sure she could cure Donald!" Kitty's eyes were sharp as she looked at Mirabella. "If you can save Donald, why won't you? He's your grandfather, a living, breathing person!"

Hearing this, Delilah frowned, about to speak coldly, "I said, my daughter..."

Mirabella nodded casually, cutting her off, "You're right, there's still a chance for Donald."

Delilah turned to her daughter, bewildered, "Mira, what nonsense are you talking?"

Mirabella blinked innocently, then withdrew her hand and patted her mother's hand, "I'm not against lending a hand."

Kitty's face twisted into a sneer, "Alright, name your price."noveldrama

Was their whole aim just to see how much the Cunninghams were worth? Looking for money?

"Is a million enough, or should I throw in another?" Kitty, skipping the small talk, gestured for Jules to grab the purse hanging by the coat rack. She pulled out a checkbook and quickly scribbled down some numbers.

After tearing off the check, she tossed it onto the lazy Susan, spinning it towards Mirabella with a mocking laugh, "Two million? That should keep your 'poor' family going for years."

At this, Atlas, standing behind Mirabella, couldn't help but glance at Kitty.

His eyes said it all: Who is this fool?

Throwing money at the Davis family? Must be the joke of the year.

Mirabella raised an eyebrow, eyeing the numbers on the check with a soft sigh, then looked sideways at Delilah, "Delilah, your daughter just got hit with a check. What do you think? Two million? Surely enough for our 'poor' family to live on for many years."

Delilah's cheeks twitched, "..."

Was this little rascal reminding her of when she was tricked into thinking they were broke?

Rubbing her temples, as someone who'd been 'hit' by checks before, Delilah expertly crumpled the check and tossed it back at Kitty, "Two million? That's not even enough for a small toy for my daughter. You should be ashamed."

Mirabella quietly watched Delilah's display of wealth, thinking, well, that's quite the show.

Kitty nearly got hit in the face; the paper ball landed on her arm. Her face soured, "What are you playing at?"

Delilah smiled, "Can't help it. We're not short on money."

Kitty fumed silently, unable to get a word out, just glaring at Delilah.

Meanwhile, Austin, who'd been quiet all along, fixed his gaze on Mirabella, "What's your condition?"
