The Double or more Life of the Fake Heiress (Mirabella)

Chapter 1719

Murray turned around slowly, "Couldn't dig up the info?"

The assistant glanced at him, shaking her head gently, "No, we did find it..."

Noticing her hesitation, Murray narrowed his eyes, "What's going on?"

"Well, the girlfriend of that important person and the one Leon is after-turns out, they're the same person."

Murray was caught off guard, "What? The same person?"

The assistant nodded, quickly pulling out her phone, and opened an email from

the investigator before handing it to Murray.

Murray frowned a bit before taking the phone.

After a pause, the assistant added, "Count, you should also take a look at Leon's email."noveldrama

She brought it up again.

Both emails had photos of the same person, with nearly identical details.

After checking them out, Murray's expression darkened, "So it really is the same person."

"Yeah, who'd have thought it would be such a coincidence," the assistant said, remembering she hadn't gotten a good look at Mirabella's face the night before, which is why she was so surprised by the detective's report today.

After a second, the assistant mused, "I wonder if Leon knows. If he's clueless, it's one thing, but if he's aware, then..."

She left the thought hanging, but the meaning was clear.

If Leon knew and set this up deliberately, it was a clear sign of bad intentions.

After all, you don't want to mess with someone from the Weapon Bureau.

Murray handed the phone back to the assistant, strolled over to the coffee table, and sat down. After a long pause, he said, "Whether Asa knows or not, for him and me, it's been a transaction from the start."

Nothing's ever free in this world. The assistant sighed, looking at Murray, "So, what do we do now, Count? Prince Lockie probably came about those weapons too. Offending the Weapon Bureau over a woman right now might not do us any good." Cóntent

Murray's face stayed cold, but he was thinking about how crucial the deal with Asa

was.

Compared to having an exceptionally strong army, a woman didn't really matter. Especially given Lockie's health; who knows how much time he's got left? The priorities were obvious.

Still, they couldn't openly tick off the Weapon Bureau... Murray squinted, remembering something, and said, "Get a few more invitations ready, and send them to the Davis family and the Weapon Bureau."

He paused, "And make sure Leon shows up at my birthday party."

The assistant immediately caught on to the Count's plan, "But the Davis family never really gets along with us. They might not come, and even if they do, they might not bring that girl."

Murray flicked his fingers nonchalantly, "Opportunities don't just happen; you make them. Set up a meeting for me with Jaime."

The assistant's eyes lit up, nodding quickly, "Got it."

The Davis family, with its long history, naturally faced internal conflicts.

Especially under Jim's tough leadership, which not only took the family out of shady dealings but also made them incredibly wealthy.

But such changes stirred up internal divisions since change always affects personal interests, and many weren't happy with how he ran things.

Jaime was one of those people.
