Drunken Moon quickly shook her head. "Don't worry about rewarding us.

Nothing's better than getting you back on your feet. Did you know that you looked

just like a zombie when I saw you again? You really gave me a scare there."

Zein chuckled. "Can't help it-I really had no idea what I could do against them,

so I could only flounder. But with this man recovering my mother's ashes, it's over

for them."

Turning to Frank, he nodded. "Don't worry, brother-I'm no ingrate. I'll definitely

make this worth your while."

Frank shook his head too.

It was a simple thing for him to do, and he had volunteered in the first place. Why

leverage grace for trinkets?

Even as the thought crossed his mind, someone kicked open the door, and soon,

a dozen goons stormed inside.

With their black tank tops, machetes, and muscular figures, they were clearly not

to be trifled with.

And they were led by none other than Dani herself, striding inside like a queen, as

if she had everything under control.

Zein was at once glowering. "Why did you come back? Not worried that I'd end

you?"

Dani smirked at him. "Just look in the mirror. Who could you hope to kill, looking

as pathetic as that? I don't mind giving it to you straight-these people with me

are very powerful. Not even your thief could win against them!"

Frank nodded in realization-so that was why Dani had the audacity to come

cause trouble despite knowing his abilities. She brought help!

"I'm already sick of you, bitch! Now, die!"

Having had enough of Dani, Drunken Moon charged at her.

The goons promptly moved in response, and the image of a tiger suddenly

appeared on the floor.

Then, a dozen trees shot out, firing a massive storm of flower petals toward

Drunken Moon.

Drunken Moon quickly blocked it with her powers, but the petals tore through her

Before the petals actually struck her, however, Frank blew a gust of wind, and the

petals disappeared.

Drunken Moon sighed in relief-thank goodness Frank was there, or she would

have been killed right then.

"Impressive!"

The goons were suddenly watching

Frank closely, and even Dani was

smirking as she regarded Frank in

interest. You're good, turning

yourself and objects invisible... But

so what? Mr. Creston sent these

people over to take your head.

"There's no doubt that you're going

to die horribly. The priestess over

there would go down too, and I'd

certainly like to see how a holy

woman pole dances!"

Drunken Moon laughed. "Let's hope you actually get what you wish for!"

"Oh, but I will!" Dani bellowed as she gestured for her goons to attack.

They once again sent a storm of petals without hesitation, filling the room with it

like some sort of spell.

Frank casually plucked one out of

the air, sniffed it, and nodded. "I see.

So that's why you're so

confident this is a bounded field,

that diminishes the effectiveness of

most techniques. Shame I'm not

most people."

Then, Frank snapped his fingers, and suddenly, the storm of petals shot back at

the goons, shredding them alive in no time at all!

When their screams finally faded, all Dani saw was pieces of flesh.

Seized by terror, her knees buckled as she dropped to her knees.
