The Great Medical Saint

The driver was scared shitless. He could feel the cold metal against his skin. He didn't dare to move an inch.

"I'll forfeit the payment! It's not worth getting killed over 20 bucks. Just go. Don't do anything stupid. If it's money you want, I'll give you some!"

Tessa let out an evil grin and took out a wad of cash from her wallet. "Did you think I didn't have any money? I was just using you as practice, you fucking loser." With that, she opened the door and walked off.

The driver stared at her, mumbling, "What a crazy bitch. Refusing to pay even though she had the money. Karma will get to her one day!" He cursed inwardly and left. Tessa walked toward the Evans residence. She was more confident now after her little training session. She was even more sure of the plan that she had in mind now. Meanwhile, at Wealthwave Group, a car stopped at the company's entrance. Matthew got out of the car and walked toward the building.

Sara jumped down and hurried after him. "Let's exchange numbers, Mr. Grant. That way, you'll be able to call me when you need me." Matthew stopped. "Alright. Here it is. You may send me a call."

Tracy's gaze darted back and forth between the two of them. Sara was really Matthew's driver. On top of that, she wanted to keep being his driver. Tracy was perplexed.

When Matthew walked into the building, Tracy came to her senses and chased after him. They went into the elevator together. Then, she realized that Matthew had pressed the button that would lead them to the staff room. "Are you going to the highest floor?"

"I want to sleep," Matthew said expressionlessly.

Tracy pointed up. "But you can sleep in the president's office. There's a staff room in there."

Matthew shook his head. "Do you think I can sleep with such a beautiful woman next to me?"

Tracy was stunned. Then, she blushed and scoffed. "You pervert."

The doors opened. Matthew walked out of the elevator. He walked into the staff room and saw a few people having a chat inside.

None of them were guards. They were all cleaning ladies. Matthew instantly understood why.

He quickly found himself a place to sit. He sprawled over the table, his eyes turning soulless. He wasn't really sleepy. He just needed to be alone for a while.

The

company he'd founded was now

shut down. His wife had divorcednoveldrama

him and had become a completely different person. Life suddenly felt impermanent. It seemed like nothing would last forever.

The people he met might leave one day too. After all, he and his divorced wife had promised to stay together forever.

He reminisced everything about his

life. He thought about his parents and Lori when she was younger. He

shut his eyes, resting on the table. It looked like he had fallen asleep.

On the first floor, Sara was on the phone, frowning. "You're thinking too much about it, Dad."

A man with a thick voice replied in annoyance. "I'm not. My daughter has good looks. I just refuse to believe that he doesn't like you."

Sara looked upset and pained. Her

father ignored her feelings for the sake of their family's benefit. Although she had no feelings for Hayden Hobbs, he insisted that she pursue him.

And now, right after Hayden's death, her father discovered that Matthew was a martial artist who was even better than Hayden. Hence, her father told her to seduce Matthew. He said that once families reached the top, they would need a martial artist to protect their lineage.

However, she'd already stripped everything off, and Matthew still hadn't touched her. That meant that something was wrong somewhere.
