The Great Medical Saint

Chapter 893

Matthew was irked by the sarcastic remarks Javier made. Just where did he get that high and mighty attitude from?

Matthew couldn't help but retort curtly, "This isn't my home, but it isn't yours either. Don't act as if you're the owner here."

After he said that, Matthew returned to his car and parked his car by the roadside. Since he was here to help Tony apply for a medical license certificate, he didn't want to cause a scene and argue with the security guard.

Seeing Matthew leave with his car, Javier snorted in disdain. "Just you wait, brat! I'm going to make sure you apologize to me."

Once Matthew had his car parked, he walked to the entrance of the health department again and walked through the small gate by the side to enter.

But before he could make it past the gate, the security guard stretched his hand out to stop him. "Hey, what's your job?"

Matthew raised his brows. This security guard was doing a really good job of pissing him off. Matthew lost his patience and displayed a fierce and intensifying demeanor.

He even glared at Javier sharply, making Javier yelp a little at the sudden eye contact.

Javier staggered back, frightened out of his wits. He had never seen a pair of eyes looking so fierce and penetrating that he felt like prey under Matthew's eyes.

Now that Javier had stopped talking, Matthew made his way in. It was only after Matthew had walked up the building that Javier was knocked back to his senses.

Javier let out a long breath of relief, feeling a chill running down his spine. He realized that his entire back was covered in cold sweat, and he sat down in a daze.

After a moment, he felt that he might have been thinking too much. People of higher status would never appear here themselves because a single phone call would suffice to get everything done for them.

Javier was certain that Matthew was just a mere nobody. Otherwise, he wouldn't have come here personally.

Matthew entered the service hall on the first floor and observed his surroundings. There was a row of counters, and he browsed through them before he noticed counter no. 6-the counter to apply for a medical license certificate.

There was a woman in her mid-20s sitting behind the counter, and she was an average-looking woman who was applying lipstick while looking into a compact

mirror.

Matthew walked over to the counter and remained silent for a little while as he tried hard to forget about the negative interaction he had at the entrance earlier.

Then, he put on a smile and said, "Hi, I would like to inquire about the application for a medical license certificate."noveldrama

The woman didn't even raise her head to greet him and kept applying her lipstick.

It was only after she felt somewhat satisfied with her appearance that she kept her lipstick and asked nonchalantly, "You have to apply for the medical license certificate during the exam period by yourself every year."

Matthew felt that she might have misunderstood some things, so he added, "It's regarding the traditional medical license certificate."

Then, the woman replied impatiently, "It doesn't matter if it's traditional medicine or modern medicine. You'd still have to take the exam. Are you deaf or what?"

The smile on Matthew's face dropped immediately. "He's a doctor of old age now. Aren't there any other options besides taking the exam?"

The woman simply replied, "There is, and that's a mentor-apprentice tradition. But you've got to have a certificate to prove that you've studied under your mentor for at least three years and have the ability to practice independently_Oh, it's also a complicated process, so I can't do that for you now."

Just as Matthew saw a trace of hope, the woman dimmed it out for him again. He

then said, "You'd still have to do it even if it's complicated, no?"

The woman only took a glance at Matthew and replied casually, "I'll have to consult with the director for this, but he's not available at the moment because he's away for training.

"I suggest you find someone who

can go through the procedures for the medical license certificate and

ask them about it. It'd save you a lot of trouble when processing the paperwork later on."

Matthew stood there in silence. According to the woman's reply, he would have to find someone experienced, but where could he find someone experienced in such a short time?

He thought about what he should do next and turned to leave. Just as he exited the service hall, there came a voice asking, "You're here to apply for a medical license certificate, right?"

Matthew turned back and saw a man in his mid-20s. He was donned in sportswear and was holding onto a cigarette. He had a smile on his face as he made his way over to Matthew.
