The Millionaire And His Billionaire Ex-Wife

Chapter 245

Chapter 245

Grace perked up her ears and said, “I can’t believe it. Chris is so fierce. Does that mean he’s just a docile little lamb in front of his wife?”

Laura coughed twice, suppressing her embarrassment, and nodded slightly, feeling somewhat ashamed. She found herself caught between amusement and concern over her husband’s contrasting behavior.

Grace chuckled at the thought. Oh my, she couldn’t even imagine how Laura disciplined her strict elder brother. It must be so entertaining! Her curiosity piqued as she eagerly asked, “Sister–in–law, do you have any good ideas? Tell me!”

Laura discreetly glanced at Eder, who was still socializing, and said, “Don’t say it was me who said this.” Grace nodded quickly, assuring her secrecy.

Leaning closer to Grace’s ear, Laura whispered her mischievous plan. “If he does something wrong in the future, you have to make him learn things like typing on a keyboard, washing clothes on a washboard, or peeling durians. Educating is important, you know? You have to do it like this… and

like that…”

Grace frowned as she listened, finding the proposed methods rather extreme. “Isn’t that a bit harsh? Just kneeling on the floor was painful enough for me, and I couldn’t even imagine dealing with a durian…

Laura smiled knowingly. “A woman must be ruthless to secure her position!” Grace silently nodded, deeply convinced by the reasoning, and began calculating in her mind, already plotting her future

actions.

Seeing that she was taking it seriously, Laura couldn’t help but feel a bit guilty. In truth, she had discussed these words with Chris and deliberately said them for Grace to hear. In order to prevent Eder from bullying their pampered little sister in the future, the couple decided to make Grace learn to take the initiative!

Just as they finished their conversation, Eder in the crowd seemed to have sensed something. After standing and socializing for so long, Grace still had concerns about his injury. “Are you tired?”

“It’s alright,” Eder replied in a calm tone, trying to dismiss her worries.

Laura noticed that Mr. Storm had recovered quickly with her careful care these past few days. Curiosity sparked within her as she asked, “How long does Grace plan to stay at the Smith family’s residence?

Before Grace could speak, a pair of well–defined hands suddenly grabbed her arm. Immediately, Eder’s facial features tightened, his expression became pained, and his pale face beneath the mask showed a sense of weakness and helplessness.

He leaned on her shoulder as if no one was around, his voice barely audible. “Grace, it still hurts…”

Concerned, Grace reached out and placed her hand on his shoulder, gently feeling his forehead. “Where does it hurt?”

Eder weakly pointed to the wound beside his heart. “It hurts here, and my head feels dizzy..

“Is it because you’ve been exposed to too much cold wind? Come, let ne take you back…” She started to say before Eder interrupted.

He weakly interrupted her, “Please help me up. Sister–in–law, could you please handle things here for

me?”

Laura nodded understandingly. “Sure, leave it to me. Don’t worry.”

Laura watched their retreating figures, lost in thought. “Why did the wound have to hurt at this particular moment?” She chuckled and shook her head, starting to understand why Grace said Eder wasn’t obedient.

On that day, news quickly spread online about Eder personally attending the ribbon–cutting ceremony at Angle. Although Eder didn’t publicly remove his mask, his overwhelming power as the head of the Grant family was enough to make netizens envious. Many people praised them as a perfect couple, blessed with both tallent and beauty, and were more than willing to witness their affection.

As for those high–society ladies, they were green with envy. However, this man, the center of attention, with his towering power and position at the top of the pyramid, was currently in the car on the way back to the villa. Grace was pinching his earlobe, causing him pain and contorting his facial features, but he didn’t resist.

Grace coldly stared at him. “I knew you were pretending to be sick. You acted so well in front of Laura, Eder!”

Eder pursed his lips and smiled. “Thank you.”

“Now that you’re almost recovered from your illness, I should return to the Smith villa. What’s the purpose of this act?” Grace tightened her grip on his earlobe, applying more force.

Eder winced in pain but didn’t dodge. “Almost recovered doesn’t mean fully recovered. I think I have internal injuries from your eldest brother’s punch. I need at least a month of rest. After all, 1 endured it on your behalf. Shouldn’t you take responsibility?”

Grace struggled to maintain a serious expression but ended up laughing. “How did he manage to say such a lame excuse with a righteous tone?” She remained silent.

Eder continued. “I’ve already asked Eric to help pack your belongings at the Smith villa. I am your fiance, so it’s reasonable for you to stay at my place for a while. Mr. Smith won’t object, and your eldest brother won’t have a say in it.”

moved so quickly? I really underestimated you, Eder!” Grace released his earlobe, turned her head to look out the window, and pouted. Laura was right, Eder was quite scheming. If she couldn’t tame him, she would end up being led by him in the future.

Some wicked thoughts began to sprout from the depths of her heart. She needed to think carefully and give him a big surprise once he fully recovered from his illness! She would release all the pent–up frustrations from this period of time!

Grace settled completely in Eder’s villa. Four bodyguards were brought from Smith’s Villa along with her luggage. Peaceful days always passed quickly.

During the day, Grace took care of Eder’s wound as usual, and she handled Angle’s affairs remotely. leaving instructions for Beth.

Eder was no exception. He delegated most of the company’s work to Eric, except for the monthly board meetings, which he had to attend in person.

In the living room, Grace nestled on the sofa, playing videos on her phone. Eder, dressed in a suit and tie, exuded an air of nobility and coldness. His laptop was placed on the coffee table, and he was

attentively participating in a video conference.

On the opposite side of the screen, it was Eric leading the board of directors in a meeting. Jason Clark, in his forties, stood up and faced Eder on the large screen in the conference roon. He asked, ‘Mr. Storm, regarding your decision to invest & billion dollars in the Angle project, when do you plan to

invest?

Eder instinctively glanced at the person next to him, Grace, who happened to be out of the camera’s view. Grace continued to look at her phone screen, but her eyebrows lightly furrowed.

The two of them had discussed this matter a few days ago, and Eder understood her meaning. “Let’s temporarily put this matter aside. I will inform you after discussing it with Ms. Smith. Erie, go ahead and read out the target data for this month.” Content protected by Nôv/el(D)rama.Org.

“Understood.” Eric nodded and began to report.

Grace casually scrolled through mouthwatering food videos and began to feel a little hungry. She reached out to grab the fruit on the coffee table but noticed that the fruit plate was on the left side of Eder’s computer. If she went to get it, she would appear on the screen,

So she softly called out. “Eder, can I have some oranges, please?”

Her gentle voice was barely audible, but in the spacious conference room of the Grant Corporation, the video call with Eder had the volume turned up. Every shareholder heard her words clearly. Many people widened their eyes in anticipation, expecting Eder to react angrily. “What a sweet voice!” they exclaimed.

“Mr. Storm has such a lovely fiancee. This meeting is going so smoothly!” they whispered amongst themselves, surprised by the pleasant interaction.

However, that wasn’t the most astonishing part.

Contrary to their expectations. Eder remained composed and unperturbed. He calmly picked up an orange from the fruit plate and, right in front of the camera, he lowered his gaze, patiently peeled the orange, and separated it into segments. With a surprising tenderness, he personally handed the fruit to Grace outside the view of the screen.

After Grace finished eating, he reached out his hand, letting her spit the orange seeds into his palm, which he then threw into the nearby trash can.

All the people in the meeting room were amazed by these actions.
