The President’s Mistake A Tale of Love and Regret

Chapter 13

Chapter 13

Freya wanted to break free from Nathaniel's grip, but his was so strong that her wrist might be broken.

She did not want to stay here—not even for a second. She did not want to face him alone.

Blood oozed from the needle hole on the back of her hand. He let go of her hands and snorted, "Freya, don't you think that I'll pity you seeing you like this; I won't let you off the hook."

"I intended to let you go three years ago, but you're the one that ran into me right now."

"So, how do you feel about playing this kind of trick to get my attention?" "Isn't it ridiculous?"

She moved her lips, and she looked at him in disbelief.

He thinks that I'm playing tricks?

She smiled bitterly. All she wanted to do was avoid him at all costs.

She took a deep breath; her head hurt like hell. She calmed herself down and got off the sofa bed without looking at him.

She walked past him in the direction of the door. Before she could reach the door, he grabbed her by the arm and threw her in front of her.

He dragged her with all his force; he was extremely furious.

She was thrown and tumbled on his knees; Nathaniel grabbed her chin and forced her to look at him.

Her eyes were beautiful and mesmerizing, but she did not look innocent and happy like before. She was in despair now.

He took a deep breath and leaned into her ear; he did not want to clarify things because it would be pretty useless to do so.

But he was almost driven crazy by the woman in front of him.

"Do you hate me that much?"

She stared at him without saying anything.

He sneered, "It seems like you didn't grow much after three years... If you want to hate me, just be it."

He gritted his teeth and tightened his grip on her chin. "Your father is the murderer of my family! So you should be paying for his sin!"

She was stunned; she roughly knew that the Gomez family had wronged the Morgan family before she was sent to jail by him. But she did not know those specific details.

And now, he told her that her father caused the deaths of his family. She was slightly shaken by this fact, and she felt even more helpless than before.

If she had known the truth three years ago, she might have been heartbroken since she loved him. But now, all she felt was numbness.

She looked at him and said, "Peyton told me that..."

He raised an eyebrow at her sudden change of topic.

She paused and said, "I was in prison when she told me about it..."

"My dad jumped from the twenty-eighth floor; his body was dismantled and mashed into pieces." "The forensic medical expert had to shovel his body up little by little."

His face changed drastically; it seemed like she was telling a story about a stranger. Her cold tone could even intimidate someone as cold-hearted as him.

"Peyton brought my dad's corpse back after all of the legal procedures; his corpse was cremated hastily."

"He was dominating in the business industry for more than twenty years in Saeville; everyone respected him when he was alive." "And he died as a smashed pile of meat."

"Nathaniel Morgan… Whatever the Gomez family owed you, he had paid it off."

"Ha…" Suddenly she chuckled; this was the first time she smiled after she was released from jail. But he felt terrified looking at her and her smile.

She slowly raised her hand and touched his eyebrows. Three years had passed, and he was still looking unbelievably handsome.

"Nathaniel… don't tell me that you seriously fall in love with me?"

His breathing was getting faster, and his hands were shaking on the sides of his body.

She grinned even more, and he felt scared looking at her bright smile when she was in this miserable state.

But this was the real her, the one he used to know.

She was not someone who was timid; she should not be simply kneeling down to others.

She was born proud, and her aggressiveness was deadly attractive to him at this moment.

He almost forgot how to breathe.

Her cold fingers lingered around his face, and she muttered, "Nathaniel, thanks for setting up our first meeting seven years ago; thanks for acting like you're in love with me for years; thanks for letting me know what cruelty is since three years ago."

"You're right! I freaking hate you. I would rather have sex with everyone in the world but you. But I would never expect that you would actually fall for me. Ha, ha, ha!"

He was pained by her laughter, and he said under his breath, "Are you looking for death?"

He leaned close to her and pulled her into his arms, and he forcibly kissed and bit her lips. The kiss was out of punishment, of self-blame, and of great hatred.

She desperately pushed him away; he tore off her skirt and bit her collarbone hard. The bite mark was bleeding.

She laughed until she was short of breath, and his desire was interrupted by her crazy laughter.

"F*ck! F*ck off!" He pulled her up and pushed her toward the door, and he opened the door and shoved her out.

He slammed the door between them; they were from completely different worlds.

Freya leaned against the wall, and she panted heavily. She was still smiling sarcastically.

She knew that Nathaniel was a proud and arrogant man; she could only get rid of him by acting this way.

When she was studying abroad, she met him at an off-campus club activity. At that time, she felt warm for meeting a person who originated from the same country as her.

And from there onward, she was slowly trapped in his scheme. She was in hell.

It's so funny that the predator falls in love with me.

She clutched her stomach, which was still slightly cramping and aching. She bent over and laughed for a while.

She knew that she had completely offended him this time. He should not be willing to see her in this life, and he might even target Peyton for it. She slightly regretted her action.

She was totally lost; she did not know where she and Peyton should work after living the red shift.

There was a rush of footsteps coming from the elevator, and the sound of high heels stepping on the ground was very clear.

A woman was coming to see Nathaniel. Someone like him was always surrounded by women.

She must have been in a mess at that moment; she did not want to be seen by anyone. She lowered her head and wanted to leave.

The beautiful woman blocked her way.

"It's you…"

She froze and looked abruptly at the woman in front of her.

She was wearing a branded, simple silky light blue dress and diamond-coated high heels.

Her hair was long, and there was a four-leaf clover diamond hairpin in her hair.

Abigail was wearing exactly what she would have worn before she was jailed: graceful and innocent.

She was in a daze seeing Abigail purposely dressed up like she once did. Abigail was glaring at her murderously.

Jolin told her about Freya being released from jail, and she was even working in the Red Shift. She felt uneasy.

She came to Red Shift to find Nathaniel, but she saw Koen guarding the door downstairs with a weird facial expression. Her instinct told her that Nathaniel had brought a woman up with him.

She was furious; she was about to get engaged to Nathaniel, and now that he actually got interested in some random woman! She wanted to see who the woman was.

"Freya, what were you doing in Nathan's room just now?" Abigail grabbed her arms tightly, and she was staring at her loose dress.

Freya's dress was torn open by Nathaniel. And there was a bite mark on her collarbone. Ccontent © exclusive by Nô/vel(D)ra/ma.Org.

Abigail snapped, looking at her in this condition.
