The Rebirth of the Betrayed Alpha

Chapter 181: Stay with Me

Deafening silence. The silence that filled the cell made her wish she had a mirror to see the reflection of herself then she wouldn't to look through the shinny glass.

Staring into space for a moment, a movement caught her eyes and she quickly stared at Nathaniel. That was when she noticed it. Alexandra's eyes widened, she hadn't noticed that his injuries were getting worse.

She hadn't noticed that he was no longer healing, instead he was slipping away. Right into the very cell she hated Nathaniel was dying and she couldn't save him.

Fear engulfed her and she quickly moved closer to him. Her hands flung across his neck and while she straddle his body closer to her. Was he dying? How come he had stopped healing?

Alexandra shoved all those thoughts away, they weren't doing her any good.

Instead they were harming her mind, making her imagine things that weren't true. Yes Nathaniel was not looking good. His injuries were pretty nasty and he was not healing anymore but all those tension wouldn't do her any good.

She was alone and he had no one to rely on aside her, if she get side tracked then she will loose him forever. Inside this hell, she will have to mourn while giving Adam what he really wanted.

To see her saddened, the death of Nathaniel will do that much damage and Alexandra didn't want that. It will kill her, to face them all alone. She wasn't prepared for it, she wasn't prepared for anything aside to be with him, to see him again.

To hear him grin while shamelessly flirting with her. That was all she wanted, what her body craved for. Although she had not been the type to give into his flirting self, Alexandra loved it when Nathaniel flirted with her. She had no doubt he didn't get cheesy with other women. Unlike Adam whom she sure was that kind of a

man.

A movement caught her eyes and she glanced at his stomach, the deep injury he had sustained were now darkened and the blood that oozed out have suddenly turned black.

Alexandra furrowed her brow, she wasn't sure what this means. She wasn't sure if she had seen it before but one thing was sure. Nathaniel was dying. Tears crowd her eyes, she couldn't imagine the pain he was going through, she couldn't imagine what was in his mind.

"I'm here for you Nathaniel" Alexandra said, rest assured that he was hearing her.

She had read it in books, the pack doctor had also told her that some werewolves were active in their unconscious state so she was sure his mind was awake but wounded.

"I won't let you die. I won't let you die Nathaniel" She held his hand.

This time tears dropped on her cheeks, she would have been sure about what if only he was healing but he wasn't anymore and so she wasn't sure. She had said that on the thin hope that held them together.

The fate that they sealed together with each other. He was the right one for her, the only one for her and she wanted to show him to everyone. She wanted to take him to her mother's clan, let them meet him and let him into the part of her life that no one else had been not even Adam.

Nathaniel was the only man who could do that and Alexandra couldn't let him go. She didn't want to, not when he didn't deserve to die.

"You don't deserve this!" She yelled, frustrated.

Everything was happening so fast, one minute she was in his pack and the next she was here in Guerrero prison with the hope of rescuing her relations but what she didn't know was that they were never captured in the first place. Contrary to her previous life, her relations had gone into hiding before Adam attempted to attacked them. He had the hope of capturing them but his plan had blew up in his face when he met the territory deserted.

It was as though no one resided there. They had beaten him to his game and fled and Alexandra hadn't realised that. Instead she let her guard down and infiltrated the prison following her experience in the past.

How silly she had been. But she did it for love, the love she had for her mother's relations was so strong that she couldn't watch them die for her.noveldrama

Watching them in the past was devastating so now that she had the chance, she was going to save them. Jumping into the prison wasn't the best plan but leaving them to die too didn't seem so perfect. It was selfish and not her thing but something the likes of Adam and Olivia would do.

Those two were deceitful so throwing someone under the bus just to save themselves was not bad. They would do it without blinking an eye, Adam had done it in the past and so she was sure Olivia had done it too or at least planned to.

When she had gotten trapped inside the prison, she had thought she would meet her demise and right there, she wished Nathaniel would come.

At least she imagined him charging with his guards and coming to rescue it. That happened though but Nathaniel wasn't with his guards. Alexandra had no idea his clan had turned their backs on him, backing out from helping him rescue her and so he did the chivalrous act of coming to the battle alone.

He wasn't scared of facing it alone, he wasn't scared of doing it alone. He had the confidence that he would fight a mighty nation just to protect her and he was ready to die saving her. In so many ways, his action had proved that he meant those words he said to her and Alexandra didn't need any other words.

This was enough to make her see that he made a mistake. A silly mistake but he wasn't entirely to blame since she also made a mistake by not telling the truth about Adam from the first day. She had a lot of opportunities yet she avoided telling him the truth and even when he asked. Alexandra still choose to keep the truth away from him for she had no explanation.
