The Reclaimed Rose (Annalise and Steven)

Chapter 843

Jenny figured if she spoke first, she could take control of the situation.

Sasha glanced at Jenny, then at Shane. "She's your ex?"

Shane didn't want to admit it, but he couldn't lie. "Yeah."

Sasha didn't even bother hiding the disgust in her voice. "Wow. That's pretty dumb

of you. What did you even see in her? And now she's claiming I'm after your money? Doesn't she know this company is ours?"

She turned to Jenny. "As one of the owners, I can drop by whenever I want to check on the business. Do I still need your permission?"

Jenny never thought Sasha could be this pushy. In a panic, she looked at Shane, hoping he'd step in, but he deliberately turned away.

Realizing she was on her own, Jenny straightened up and snapped, "Why don't you visit another time? Why show up when Shane and I are trying to work things out? You're obviously trying to stir things up between us!"

"Did you tell me you were coming?" Sasha asked, ignoring her question.

Jenny shook her head. "No."

Sasha shrugged. "Well, there you go. How was I supposed to know when you'd be here if you didn't give me a heads-up?"

Not wanting to drag it on, she headed toward the elevator. "Shane, wrap things up with your ex and get upstairs. We've got to talk about the company."

"Got it," Shane replied.

Now that Sasha had spoken, he knew he had to prioritize work. He gave Jenny a cold stare. "You need to leave."

Jenny knew it was game over for her if she got kicked out this time. She grabbed Shane's hand fast.

"What if I just wait until you're done with Sasha, and then we can meet up?" she asked.

"That's not necessary." Shane's

voice was stern, not like usual. "We are never getting back together If you don't want things to get ugly, you should go. Now."

"Ugly how?" Jenny asked.

Shane stressed each word. "It's pretty simple. You have two choices. One, you walk out on your own. Two, I'll have security escort you out."

Jenny was about to speak, but Shane was just about to call security. She had no other choice but to walk out, feeling embarrassed.

Standing outside, she looked back at the massive building. A thought crossed her mind, and she pulled out her phone to call a reporter.

"Have you ever heard of Shane Winslow?" she asked.

"Yeah! He's the guy behind that new company that's been making waves with its success."

"That's him! I've got some juicy gossip on him. Let's meet up if you're down," Jenny said.noveldrama

Sasha was sitting in the office, her chin slightly tilted as she watched Shane, who shifted uncomfortably and asked, "What's with the staring?"

Having dealt with Zane and Annalise, Sasha knew people like Jenny wouldn't back down until they got what they wanted.

"Jenny's not going to stop making waves. You need to figure out what she's up to and how to deal with it if you don't want our company to take the hit," she said, her tone flat.

"Got it," Shane said. "She loves causing drama. When we were together, she'd always tell me you were picking on her. Honestly wouldn't have come after you if it weren't for that."

Sasha almost rolled her eyes. "You're such an idiot. You actually believed her, so you kind of had it coming."

Shane was aware he'd hurt her in the past, so he didn't argue. "Anyway, that's her usual play. I'm thinking..."
