THE REMORSEFUL BILLIONAIRE

CHAPTER 34

Felix POV

I have been visiting Judith every other day, trying to console her and rekindle our love, but all my efforts proved futile. It was as if she didn’t want to give me a second chance at all. I understood she was still grieving, so I decided to give her some time to get better before asking her out again.

“I’m not giving up because I’m sure we are fated to be. It’s only a matter of time before she realizes I’m the only man for her,” I muttered happily as I drove through the traffic.

As soon as I parked in front of Judith’s garage, I saw Nathan coming out of her house, and I became furious. He was tall and handsome, but he looked like a shadow of himself-haggard and unkempt.

“Why would she still allow him into her home after everything he has done to her?” I thought as I got out of the car and walked toward him.

He glanced at me and kept walking, not recognizing me. I was about to walk past him when I said, “You thief and rapist.”

He turned back, looking shocked and angry. “Sorry, were you by any chance referring to me?” he asked.

“Yes, I am, you bastard,” I cursed furiously.

“And who the hell are you, asshole?” he cursed back.

“Felix, Judith’s ex-fiance. You disrupted our wedding,” I clapped back.

“Oh, I’m sorry,” he said with a calm look. I punched him before he could finish talking. I had been wanting to pay him back for what he did but never got the chance.

He looked at me and wiped the blood from the corner of his mouth with his fingertip.

“You are free to hit me until you feel better. I deserve every punch,” he said, moving closer without trying to defend himself.

I became even more furious. “Who does he think he is? Does he think a punch can cover up for the pain we went through?” I thought as I threw another punch.

“You don’t even deserve my punch,” I said, grabbing his shirt collar.

“What are you doing, Felix?” I heard Judith’s voice from behind. She was holding a waste bin, which she threw aside before running towards us.

“Judith,” I called out.

“Please, Felix, leave him alone. Do you want to injure him?” she asked.

“He ruined our lives, Judith. Even if he doesn’t deserve my punch, he deserves to rot in prison for the rest of his damn life,” I shouted, still holding his shirt while he looked at me sadly, without trying to free himself.

“We already talked about this, Felix. Just leave him alone,” she said, struggling to free him from my grip. I eventually let him go.

She looked at his wound like she was about to cry, and I realized she still loved him. Despite everything, she still loved and defended him.

“You can go, and please don’t come back here,” she said, looking away. He walked slowly towards his car, looking defeated, and left.

“Why are you still defending him despite everything?” I asked as soon as we got inside.

“Felix, I’m not defending him. I’m just trying to prevent you from getting into trouble. You see how he looks. What if you kept punching him and he collapsed?” she said.

“And why is he here? I didn’t think you would allow him into your home after everything,” I said angrily.

“It’s my home, Felix. I can allow anyone I deem fit.”

“Are you serious? This man assaulted you and broke our wedding, but you don’t see anything wrong with it,” I shouted.

“Felix, lower your voice. The kids are around,” she whispered.

“Who cares if the kids hear? They should know the kind of person their father is,” I shouted again.

“Felix, please get out of my home. I want you to go and never come back,” she said, pointing toward the door.

“Oh, wow. After everything I have done for you, you owe me your life. If not for me, you would be married to that bastard now.”Exclusive content © by Nô(v)el/Dr/ama.Org.

“Oh, you think that? I don’t owe you anything. The reason you told me was for your selfish interests. You thought I would break up with him and get back with you. It wasn’t even a week after we broke up, and you were already making advances toward me.”

“That was because I love you, Judith,” I said calmly, moving closer and taking her hand in mine.

“I don’t love you, Felix. I’m grateful for all your help, and that is it. We can’t be together again. The earlier you realize this, the better for both of us,” she said, pulling her hand away.

“Why? Do you still love him despite everything and how badly he hurt you?” I asked.

“Yes… no,” she stammered. “I’m not a fool who will love him despite that,” she defended.

“You love him, Judith. I know it when you love someone,” I said, getting pissed off.

It was really annoying to see that she still loved and cared about him more than she ever loved me. I left America to come back for her, but she’s clinging to the man who assaulted her.

“Judith, why are you frustrating me? I have done everything to prove my love for you. I came all the way from America, left all my business, just for you, and you are clinging to that bastard,” I said, obviously angry.

“Don’t you dare talk to me like that. I never asked you to come from America,” she snapped back angrily.

“It seems you enjoyed the way he fucked you then, huh? You purposely got pregnant for him because you’ve always loved him from the beginning,” I asked furiously.

She slapped me hard across the face. “Felix, get out. Go and never come back,” she shouted, crying.

I stood there, shocked by the slap, when the kids ran into the living room. “Mommy, why are you crying?” Oliver asked, trying to wipe her face with his small palm.

“I thought you guys were already sleeping,” she said, drawing them closer.

“Yes, but your voice woke us up,” Oliver said, looking at me angrily. “What did you do to our mommy?” he asked authoritatively, pushing my legs.

“Go away, I hate Mr. Felix. He makes mommy cry,” Olivia said, starting to cry too.

“It’s okay, babies. He isn’t making me cry,” she said, hugging them.

“We aren’t done yet. Let me leave for now. I’m going to be back,” I said, slamming the door shut.

Still angry, I got into the car and sped off.

“I’m not going to lose you again to that bastard who made me lose you once. I will make sure you love me again and get back with me. I’m ready to go any mile for that,” I said, more determined than ever.

“I have come too far and invested too much to give up now. You are mine, Judith, and mine alone,” I muttered as I pulled up in front of a clubhouse.
