The Unwilling CEO’s Love Game

Chapter 40

Chapter 40

Fresh out of the shower, Jocelyn spotted the study door ajar. Deciding not to butt in, she strolled out to the balcony alone.

The afternoon was still a bit rnuggy, but there was no direct sun here. A breeze made it quite tempting to just laze around and snooze

Leaning on the railing, she gazed at the river, with the bustling central business district right across from her.

The two rivers merged here. Although the lights on the boats weren’t on yet, there were already loads of tourists waiting

at the dock

After all these years, she hadn’t checked out those famous scenic spots that topped the online charts, even though she was a local.

If it wasn’t for riding on Melvin’s coattails, she wouldn’t have had the chance to soak in such a killer view

Melvin wrapped his arms around her from behind, pressing her against a warm chest. Without turning her head, Jocelyn asked, “All done?”

“Mhm, Melvin’s chin rested on top of her head, “You smell nice.”

Jocelyn’s lips curved into a smile.

Melvin then floated the idea, “Feel like hitting up the boat?”

“It’s hot.”

“We’ll wait till it cools off at night.

“I’ve gotta head back, Jocelyn said.

“You’re on break without much stuff. Why go back?” Melvin snaked his hands around her waist, bending slightly to nuzzle her face and whisper in her ear, Stay here.”

He wasn’t begging and just waiting for a desirable answer.

Jocelyn cleared her throat, “What if one of your buddies sees us?”

“No friends coming over.”

Jocelyn snorted, “Last time didn’t someone crash at your place? Which bed did they pass out on?

Melvin knew she was digging up old dirt, “That was an accident.”

“Yeah, accidents are just so unpredictable,” Jocelyn said with a sarcastic edge, “Who knows, maybe someone will show up drunk at your door again after dark.

Melvin spun her around to face him. Gazing at her delicate face fixed with slight jealousy, he slightly frowned his brows as his arms held her close, “You’re gonna hold a grudge?”

‘No grudge here. I’m just stating facts,” Jocelyn replied with a faux-cheerful grin, “Oh, and that picture of you and Willow looking cozy together? You guys looked pretty tight.”

Melvin narrowed his eyes, while Jocelyn raised an eyebrow in challenge.

She could let a lot slide. But since she was here now, she couldn’t help but feel a little possessive and jealous

“Didn’t you see the follow-up posts?” Melvin, in a good mood, decided to tease her.

“Saw it, but it wasn’t from you.”

“Who else would post it if I didn’t give the nod?”

Jocelyn fiddled with the buttons on his shirt. “Willow came to see me the other day. She said we broke up and asked if we were just sexual partners now. Clearly, she’s bothered by our thing.”

Jocelyn wanted to know how he defined their relationship.

“And what did you say?”

1 told her It’s just a physical thing adults need. You are sexy with stamina, and we just put up with each other for some fun. Who cares about the name, right? As long as we’re happy.” Jocelyn deliberately kept it light.

She didn’t want to hurt herself again in front of him, nor did she want him to know how much she actually cared,

“So our relationship is just no-strings fun, huh? We hang when we’re up for it and bounce when we’re not, right?” Jocelyn looked up at him with a bright smile.

Melvin stared into her smiling eyes, hating her rhetoric.

Jocelyn tilted her head playfully. “What’s with that look? Not happy that I’m being so understanding?”

Melvin sealed his lips, with his gaze turning from passionate to profound.

His silence and steady gaze unnerved Jocelyn.

“It’s really hot out here” She avoided his eyes and fanned herself, “I should get going; it’s getting late.”

She shrugged off his hands and headed inside. After just one step, Melvin pulled her back into his arms, leaning her against the balcony railing.

Her hair whipped around in the wind, mirroring the chaos in Jocelyn’s heart.

She clung to his shoulders, glancing down nervously, “Is this railing safe? I’m not looking to take a dive.” She was too young to die

Melvin gripped her waist, So, you just want a fling with me, huh?”

“Isn’t that what you want?” Jocelyn felt dangerously unsecured without a safety harness, afraid he might lose control. and send her plummeting.

Melvin’s firm grasp at her waist pulled her closer, “I invited you over to my place; does that sound like just a fling? If I wanted to just have sex, wouldn’t I go to a hotel?”

He had a point.

Jocelyn clutched his shirt and looked down the floor, with her voice trembling, “Can we go inside and talk? This is too risky.

“You’re just here for sex?” he pressed.

“No, no,” Jocelyn panicked.

“Then what is it?”

“Good physical enjoyment.

Melvin was speechless. This content provided by N(o)velDrama].[Org.

Seeing her face pale with fear, Melvin scooped her up and carried her into the living room. The air conditioning was blasting. For a second, Jocelyn shivered with cold.

After a moment, she looked at Melvin with puppy eyes and said in a shaky voice, “I really should be going.”

“You said you’d be out having fun for five days, and it’s only been three. You’ve got two more; spend them with me.” His hand cradled the back of her head. As he lay on top of her, his intense gaze locked onto her face. He firmly said, “I’ll keep you entertained!”

Jocelyn’s heart raced. These words sent her head spinning and her hands instinctively wrapped around his neck. She looked straight into his eyes, “You sure?”

‘Mhm.”

Jocelyn licked her lips and lifted herself to kiss his throat.

The moment they touched, she could feel his tough dick.

Melvin looked down at her with desire burning in his eyes, “You started this.

H

“Yep, my bad,” Jocelyn admitted freely.

His Adam’s apple bobbed slightly. “Then you can’t blame me.”

As soon as he finished speaking, he kissed her lips.

They were inseparable until suddenly, Melvin stopped.

Jocelyn looked at him, dazed and confused about why he paused.

“Wanna check out the river view?”

Jocelyn was perplexed

While Jocelyn was still in a daze, Melvin scooped her up and carried her over to the huge floor-to- ceiling window, bracing her hands against the glass as he kissed her from behind.

At that moment. Jocelyn felt like her blood had turned to ice.

She wanted to turn around, but Melvin was blocking her from behind, pressing down on her hands, not letting her spin

around.

“You… you…” Jocelyn was mortified.

Even though there were no houses opposite them and no one could actually see what they were up to, the very idea of doing this in broad daylight, right by the window… Jocelyn couldn’t quite stomach it.

The visual shock overwhelmed her senses. She seemed to be laid bare in a completely exposed spot and walk stark naked down a vast, public street. She was flushed with embarrassment and awkwardness.

Melvin continued to kiss her shoulder, sensing her stiffness. His hand gently rested on her smooth, flat belly from behind, his fingertips softly tracing circles. When teasing her nerves, Melvin whispered in her ear, “Not used to this?”
