Don’t force it too much?
Marco then looked up at Letta, who was currently massaging his head.
“It seems like my shoulders are also feeling sore,” Marco said, prompting Letta to comply, massaging her husband’s broad shoulders with muscles perfectly attached to his body. Letta couldn’t deny that it was one of her husband’s attractions. In fact, Letta would blush immediately at the thought of her husband’s athletic body. She was now trying to normalize her expression so as not to be teased by Marco.
“Oh yeah, the doctor called earlier,” Marco said suddenly, causing Letta to pause her movements for a moment.
“Doctor?” Letta asked with a questioning look at her husband.
“Yes, the doctor who usually treated you during the coma. He said there are some medications that you must consume for a while. It seems it’s a medication to stimulate your past memories,” Marco said, making Letta instantly enthusiastic.
“Really? It’s been so long since I took that medicine. Do I need to take it again?” Letta asked, making Marco nod his head.
“The doctor mentioned and inquired about your condition, and I told him that you were starting to remember bit by bit. The doctor suggested taking the medication again. Tomorrow, I’ll pick up the prescription,” Marco said, making Letta immediately shake her head.
“No need, aren’t you busy? I’ll go and get the prescription myself. You just need to give me the doctor’s business card or maybe his phone number, and I’ll make an appointment with him,” Letta unexpectedly said, making Marco pause for a moment before shaking his head.
“No, besides, I also have to regularly check my health results, and tomorrow is the time, so I might as well do it. You stay at home with Freya. Besides, didn’t you say that Freya has been a bit cranky lately?” Marco replied, making Letta sigh deeply.
“But it’s just that, and also, I want to ask something about myself to the doctor,” Letta said, making Marco turn to look at his wife.Exclusive content © by Nô(v)el/Dr/ama.Org.
“What do you want to ask?” Marco asked again.
“Well, about my memory. I want to ask if there’s some kind of therapy or anything to stimulate my memory so that I can remember it clearly because so far I’ve only seen it as a blurry shadow and also like a dream. Is that part of my previous memory or is it just a dream?” Letta asked, making Marco fall silent.
“Don’t force it too much. It’s better to follow the doctor’s advice. Maybe you just need the medicine first before moving on to the next stage. So, tomorrow I’ll pick it up for you, and we’ll see how it progresses. How about that?” Marco tried to persuade Letta, making Letta fall silent before finally nodding her head.
“Alright, then. Besides, the medication isn’t too much, right? After maybe a few times of taking it, I’ll know the difference. And then, you promise to accompany me to meet this doctor, okay?” Letta said, making Marco nod his head with a smile. Of course, in his heart, Marco would do anything and talk to that doctor because this medication was agreed upon by him and the doctor. So the doctor must have an answer that wouldn’t harm him.
“Turn back, I have to clean your head,” Letta said, making Marco turn his body around. After that, Marco leaned back as Letta began to rinse his head and massage it gently. Marco closed his eyes again, but it was different from before. Marco seemed to return to the memory of Letta that had flashed in his mind, making Marco immediately open his eyes wide. He also felt his chest tighten as he saw how Letta cried, Letta who was hurt, and how he treated Letta like a haunting sin.
“Why? Is there something wrong, or am I massaging too hard?” Letta asked, making Marco shake his head. It seemed he couldn’t control his expression.
“No, I just remembered an important file that I forgot,” Marco said, making Letta shake her head.
“Enough, deal with it later. Now clean yourself first, I’ll wait for you outside,” Letta said, about to get up from her seat, but Marco immediately held her wrist.
“Stay here for a while, accompany me,” Marco said, making Letta smile.
“Come on, don’t ask for strange things,” Letta said, making Marco shake his head.
“No, I’m not asking for anything strange. I just want you to accompany me here. Just for a moment, I don’t want to be alone,” Marco said, which made Letta begin to notice the change in Marco’s expression.
“Why? Is that file so important that you look so disturbed like this?” Letta asked, making Marco shake his head.
“Yes, I need to calm myself down first. So, stay here, don’t leave me alone,” Marco said, making Letta reluctantly accompany her husband.
“Alright, calm your mind while soaking. I’ll add some aromatherapy to the water,” Letta said, then added warm water to the bathtub Marco was in, and provided the usual aromatherapy.
“Close your eyes for a moment while I massage you. That will surely make you feel better. Because I always feel it when I sense something is not right with my mood. I always ask Desi to massage like this, and the results are very good. We’ll be more relaxed, we’ll be more focused, and we won’t have too many thoughts,” Letta said, making Marco nod his head. Marco then leaned his back again, making Letta gently massage his temples. Marco could inhale the aromatherapy that Letta had just added, an aroma that truly belonged to his wife, enveloping the room.
“I want to ask something,” Marco suddenly said, making Letta nod her head.
“Yes, go ahead, ask,” Letta replied.
“I have a metaphor,” Marco said, once again causing Letta to stop her hand movements.
“Come on, don’t ask something that will make me have to think hard. My mind is really exhausted right now. I haven’t had a nap all day because I had to take care of Freya’s meals and also see our daughter’s clothes that are starting to shrink,” Letta said, making Marco nod his head. Marco then took Letta’s hand that was now on his forehead, then kissed it gently.
“Do you love me as much as your homeland?” Marco asked, making Letta furrow her brow.
“What kind of question is that? Of course, I love you. Why? Is there something bothering you besides your work?” Letta asked again, making Marco shake his head.
“No, I’m just curious,” Marco said, making Letta click her tongue in annoyance.
“Hasn’t my behavior all this time reflected that I love you?” Letta asked again.
“No, I just want to make sure. Do you still love me?” Marco said.
“Why are you suddenly asking that? Is there something happening at the office? Is your secretary flirting with you?” Letta asked, making Marco chuckle.
“Come on, darling. Your secretary is a man,” Marco said, making Letta pout.
“Well, who knows, because you suddenly asked that, I’m suspicious that when a man asks something about feelings or anything like that, there must be something going on in his heart, or maybe you have another ideal woman?” Letta asked, looking at Marco with a suspicious gaze, and Marco just laughed.
“No, not at all. I just want to make sure because maybe you’re getting bored of me,” Marco asked, which for some reason made Letta wonder why her husband suddenly asked such things.
“Is there boredom in love? Even if someone feels it, it’s not boredom. It’s just that their love is fading, and it’s an excuse to move on to another heart. It’s not boredom or anything like that,” Letta replied coldly, letting Marco know that his wife was clearly offended by his question.
