Just tell me if something
As promised earlier by Marco to Letta, Letta was allowed to accompany Marco to see the doctor when Marco mentioned that he would be getting a prescription for himself. Since Marco had no other reason to refuse his wife, continuously rejecting her would only make Letta suspicious. Letta and Marco then walked through the hospital corridor to meet the doctor previously arranged by Marco.
“Are there no important meetings today?” Letta asked, causing Marco to shake his head.
“No, I’ve rescheduled for a few hours ahead, and Pedro will handle it. After returning from the hospital and dropping you off, I can go back to the office,” Marco replied, tightly holding Letta’s hand, walking alongside Letta through the hospital corridor.
“I don’t need you to accompany me, I can call the driver at home later, so you can just go straight to the office,” Letta said, causing Marco to shake his head.
“No need, I will make sure my wife gets home safely. Besides, office matters are not as important as you,” Marco said, making Letta smile, until they finally arrived in front of the doctor’s room who had previously treated Letta. Marco immediately knocked on the door, then entered and sat in front of the doctor who was focused on the flat screen in front of him.
“You’ve come,” the doctor said, extending his hand, and Marco greeted him with his friendly smile.
“It’s been a while, doctor,” Marco said, making the doctor nod.
“Yes, quite a long time,” the doctor said, then turning to look at Letta and nodding his head. They then chatted for a while, just small talk, before getting to the heart of the matter they were going to discuss.
“Previously, I didn’t know that your wife would come with you,” the doctor said, making Marco nod his head.
“Yes, I did mention that you would give the prescription to my wife earlier, but it turns out that my wife has some complaints that need to be consulted with you, and I hope you can provide at least a way out or a little comfort for my wife,” Marco said, making the doctor nod his head.
“Yes, you can say whatever you want to say,” the doctor said, looking at Letta, and Letta looked at Marco, who then nodded to indicate that Letta could do anything and say anything that was troubling her to the doctor.
“Actually, lately I have been dreaming about myself, but with people I don’t know. I don’t know if it’s just a dream or if it’s fragments of memories that I have forgotten,” Letta said, making the doctor nod his head.
“Actually, we can’t speculate on something like this. We also don’t know if it’s just a dream or if it’s a memory you have forgotten. That’s why I am giving you the prescription that I gave to your husband, to stimulate the nerves in your brain. Although it’s not a 100% guaranteed method, at least it will help,” the doctor said, making Letta nod her head.
“Then, what about what I’m experiencing? Will it become clearer slowly if I take the medication, or maybe my memories will gradually come back?” Letta asked.
“I can’t guarantee it, but there will be some progress. If you can take it regularly, I have explained to your husband how to take it and to monitor it for how long,” the doctor replied, making Letta fall silent.
“In the past few days, I met someone who claimed to know me from the past. He seemed quite close to me, and ever since then, for some reason, I sometimes feel like there’s something I remember, even if it’s just a fleeting shadow passing through my mind. But I’m sure it’s a fragment of my memory. If I meet that person, is there a possibility it could trigger my memory again?” Letta asked, making the doctor look towards Marco. It seemed Marco had forgotten to mention his encounter with Abian, making the doctor hesitant to answer Letta’s question because both Marco and Letta had come to the hospital. Marco had contacted the doctor beforehand to receive counseling services, of course, so that they wouldn’t suspect that Marco and the doctor were already collaborating. This content is © NôvelDrama.Org.
“I can’t say for sure that it will work, but it might help trigger your memory. It depends on whether you want to meet or not, as the effect on patients like you can vary,” the doctor said, making Letta even more confused. In the past, she had been determined to meet the man named Abian, but for some reason, Marco seemed to be against it, and the doctor’s words didn’t reassure Letta either. This made Letta look back at Marco again.
“Just tell me if something is still bothering you. While we’re still here, besides, the doctor has already given you the prescription. We just need to break through it, and you’ll take it,” Marco said, making Letta nod her head. Letta then continued to ask the doctor until all the questions in her mind were fully articulated, taking about an hour. Letta and Marco finally left the doctor’s room.
“You can sit in that chair for a moment. I need to check this prescription,” Marco said, making Letta nod her head.
“Alright, don’t take too long,” Letta replied, making Marco nod. Marco then walked through the hallway of the hospital, while Letta sat in one of the waiting chairs. There weren’t too many people on the floor where they met the doctor, perhaps because such patients were rare. Letta then got up from her seat and walked towards the window, which directly displayed the expansive hospital garden. Letta smiled as she saw the wide expanse of the garden with the sun shining on it.
The fresh air immediately enveloped Letta, making her content to gaze at it. However, in the next moment, like a fleeting shadow in her mind, Letta was convinced that she could remember when she was wearing a patient’s gown and sitting in a wheelchair. Was it just her imagination, or as she had previously stated, was it a fragment of her memory? However, Letta felt like she had never experienced anything like it.
The last time she remembered, the first time she woke up after the coma, Letta never experienced an injury like the one in her memory. Moreover, the patient’s gown she wore was also different. Letta furrowed her brow, trying to remember more about the shadow that had just passed through her mind.
However, the more Letta tried to recall it, the more her head throbbed, causing Letta to immediately grip the chair behind her. Letta tried to sit back down, realizing she was pushing herself too hard to remember something, until she heard Marco calling her from a distance. After that, she heard footsteps approaching. Now Marco was looking at Letta with a concerned expression.
“What’s wrong? Are you feeling dizzy?” Marco asked, seeing Letta bow her head while massaging the bridge of her nose.
“My head is throbbing a little, like I’ve been pushing myself too hard,” Letta said, ina whisper, making Marco furrow his brow.
“I told you not to force anything you’re currently thinking about too much. If your memories are meant to come back, they will slowly start to return. You don’t need to struggle and hurt yourself like this,” Marco said, making Letta finally look at her husband.
“Yes, I guess I was rushing too much to remember everything, even though I don’t need to do that. What’s important is that my memories now include you and Freya,” Letta said, making Marco smile.
“That’s what you should be thinking. Don’t dwell too much on your past, as it will have a negative impact on your health. After all, isn’t Freya depending on you now?” Marco said, making Letta nod her head and begin to smile slowly.
