Chapter 4 Miss Lewis, You should Know Who Loses Face
Chapter 4 Miss Lewis, You should Know Who Loses Face
Isobel felt better with breeze out of the hotel.
She kept receiving messages from the bank for deposits to her bank account. Yasmin was a brilliant
seller who had sold one third of her belongings to help her get three million dollars.
“Miss Lewis.” Property belongs to Nôvel(D)r/ama.Org.
Isobel’s smile got to disappear with hearing Martha’s voice, “Miss Sutton.”
It was too cold now when Martha wore an over-sized sweater in azure color as well as a short leather
skirt and a pair of black shoes. She looked so gorgeous.
Martha said, “I heard you asked Yasmin to help you sell the gifts Hamish sent you…”
Then she stopped to take a breath and said, “Did Hamish give you five million dollars? Miss Lewis, are
you planning something? That’s why you ask for so much money.”
Martha was so mean to take about it. But she did not realize it and continued to talk after getting no
reply from Isobel, “How much do you need? I can do you a favor. You don’t need to lose face to all.”
Isobel smiled to say, “No, thank you. I think even the rubbish can be collected; these belongings should
be sold at good prices. Why do I have to keep them at home? As to lose face…I don’t think I did it to
lose face. Instead, I think your life is more dramatic.”
She had never been afraid of Martha. As Hamish’s woman before, she had refuted Martha a couple of
times.
But Isobel was not lucky today. Just now, some car she knew drove slowly and stopped behind her.
Hamish and Freddie were in the car. Isobel spoke in a low voice, but it was loud enough to be heard by
them.
The door was open; Hamish got off the car to ask, “Don’t you go shopping with friends?”
Martha went to hold him and smiled. She answered, “Yes. I am going soon. I just said hello to Miss
Lewis.”
Then Hamish had a look at Isobel to say coldly, “Miss Lewis should understand who is the one to lose
face.”
He spoke out these cruel words with laughing, which hurt her so much.
Isobel was humiliated by him to feel badly embarrassed. She held her mobile phone tightly; she would
like to leave soon, but unwilling to lose the dispute today.
Freddie frowned and looked at Hamish. He thought Hamish acted like a terrible man now and said,
“Hamish, don’t talk about it.”
He could not help arguing for Isobel.
It caused Martha laugh out; she put her hand on Hamish’s shoulder and looked back on Freddie,
saying, “Freddie, you might be fond of Miss Lewis. Dose Yasmin know it?”
Freddie was annoyed, “Martha, what are you fucking talking about? “
Then he also got off the car to pass the Mermaid Tears to Isobel, “It is too expensive. Nobody can take
it. Get it back please.”
Isobel realized he was helping her. Soon she knew what to say, “If like this, it is of no use to me.”
She got it from Freddie and walked to a trash bin not far, then threw it into the bin.
Fast, with no hesitation.
