Chapter 55
Chapter 55 Does It Hurt?
“If you say another word against her, I’m going to fucking kill you!” Cedric glared at her. Struggling to breathe, Zera stared at him in shock.
Stunned by what was going on, Aiken let go of her arms. Rita rushed in, horrified.
“Oh, my God, what the hell are you doing, Cedric? She’s Zera, for Christ’s sake!”Nôvel(D)rama.Org's content.
She rushed over and grabbed Cedric’s hand. “Let her go, or you’re going to kill her!”
Rita frantically continued, “She's one of us, Cedric. How could you treat her like this for the sake of a woman you didn’t even care about?”
Cedric scoffed, unmoved.
Maia said, “Cedric, your wound!”
In other words, he should let go lest he would disturb his wound. Hearing this, the rage in his
eyes went away.
He let go of Zera and said, “Get the fuck out of here!”
Rita helped Zera up from the floor and pulled her away. “Zera, come with me!”
She knew they could not risk provoking Cedric at this moment.
Paying no attention to Aiken, Cedric walked up to Maia. “Does your hand hurt?”
“Huh?” Maia was puzzled.
“Does it hurt from hitting her?”
Not expecting such a question, Maia answered calmly, “No. In fact, | got a kick out of it.”
Well, she did.
“As long as you don’t hurt yourself, feel free to do anything you want.”
He was trying to tell her that he would always have her back.
As his gaze made her uncomfortable, Maia looked at his meal and tried to change the subject.” It’s getting cold. Eat first.” “Can you feed me?”
Maia frowned. “Come on, | saw what you could do to Zera.”
“| exerted too much strength just now, so my back hurts very much now.”
In other words, he was in this state because of her.
Aiken chimed in, “Maia’s hand must be hurting from hitting Zera. Why not let me do it?” He grinned mischievously. “Fuck off!”
Aiken remained where he was, thinking it would be embarrassing to leave now.
“Go home, Aiken,” Maia quickly said.
As he was just an outsider, she did not want him to get into trouble because of her.
“Are you sure?”
Maia nodded.
“Okay then.” Aiken nodded and turned to leave.
After he was gone, Maia placed the meal tray before Cedric and used a fork to pick up some mashed potato. “Come on.”
He smiled and opened his mouth. Maia then started to feed him grimly while he gazed at her lovingly.
She avoided his gaze the whole time. When he finished the food, she replaced the tray on the coffee table. “Aiken Cantrell seems to care about you,” Cedric said.
Maia said calmly, “It’s none of your business.”
“Another competitor, huh?” He frowned, upset.
Taken aback, Maia chuckled. “Many guys want to marry me, okay?”
As she was a gorgeous woman and the CEO of Starlight Entertainment, Cedric wasn’t surprised.
“You're right, but no one dares to steal my woman.”
“You're fucking crazy!” She turned and headed toward the door..
As she touched the door handle, he said, “You can only be mine.”
Maia tightened her grip on the door handle. Taking a deep breath, she said cruelly, “I'll never be yours again.” She then opened the door and left. Aiken was still standing outside.
“Why are you still here?” Maia was surprised.

“To keep you safe, of course ” Aiken smiled. “I have to carry out my dad’s order, or he might kick my ass, you know?” “Well, | appreciate it anyway.” She was grateful to Aiken, whether he was following orders or
not.
“Don’t sweat it. Anyway, you were so cool when you slapped that bitch.” Aiken gave Maia a thumbs-up.
With a smile, Maia shook her head. Zera used to bully her and even kicked her stomach after she had a miscarriage. Therefore, she knew she had to be tough now.
By being so, no one would dare to bully her again.
Aiken added, “As one of the Larkins, Zera has always thrown her weight around, and it’s the first time I've seen anyone put her in her place. You’re something else, I’ll give you that.” Aiken’s face was filled with admiration.
