You Are My Mr Right

Chapter 59

Freya told me.

Liora almost said those words.

But if she told Elijah, Freya wouldn’t be able to reveal Elijah’s whereabouts to her anymore.

This time, Freya didn’t lie to her.

In the future, she would still have a chance to contact Elijah.

“I really came to learn swimming.”

Liora could only stubbornly deny.

Elijah was growing more disgusted with her. At first, he wanted nothing to do with her. Now, she was persistent, using all kinds of means. He might never come to this place again.

“Liora Valentine, if I had known it was you who fell into the water, I wouldn’t have rescued you.”

Elijah walked away.

Liora’s eyes reddened. His words were hurtful. Had Elijah grown to hate her so much that he wanted her dead?

As Elijah entered the room, Freya was leisurely lying on the sofa, reading a book and eating fruit. He walked over, took the book from her hand, glanced at it-it was a medical book. Elijah wasn’t surprised, after all, she was a doctor.

“You quit your job, stopped working. Are you planning to run away again anytime?”

Probably because he saw Liora, his mood was not good, and he needed an outlet for his frustration, so he found fault with Freya.

How he wished it was Freya who appeared at the reservoir.

How he wished it was Freya who was persistently bothering him.

Freya found him inexplicable.

Was he on some kind of medication so early in the morning?

Freya sat up. “I’ve already submitted my resignation letter, and the hospital has approved it. Do you think they would want someone who resigned?”

Elijah also knew he was being unreasonable, but his character didn’t allow him to admit it in front of Freya.

“Freya, don’t think about running away again. If you dare to run, I’ll break your legs.”

After saying that, he threw down her book and went upstairs.

Freya thought, “What did I do to deserve this? Did he just pick a fight with me for no reason? Is he crazy?”

To avoid contact with Elijah, she went to the back of the villa and sat on a stone bench, continuing to read her book.

But she realized it was not right. If she didn’t work, would Elijah think she still wanted to run away and be more vigilant? If she went to work, would Elijah think she didn’t want to run away anymore?

After much thought, Freya decided to go to work. She had already completed the procedures to leave the hospital, and since she was an intern, she definitely couldn’t go back.Belonging © NôvelDram/a.Org.

So, it was the dance studio.

After some consideration, she decided to go to the dance studio. At least she could dispel Elijah’s doubts. So she went back to put the book away. After taking a shower, Elijah, in a straight suit, came downstairs. It seemed like he was going to the company. Freya ignored him directly, went upstairs, and as she passed by Elijah, he grabbed her arm and asked, “Where are you going?”

Freya replied casually, “To the bathroom.”

Elijah didn’t say anything and just pulled her away.

Freya said, “Where are you taking me?” struggling as she asked.

“Since you don’t have to work, go to my company!” Elijah thought that by keeping her under his nose, he could see if she had a chance to escape.

“I need a personal assistant, and it’s you.”

It wasn’t a question; it was a directive tone.

“I don’t want to.” She refused.

Elijah suddenly stopped and asked, “You don’t want to?”

Freya really wanted to retort directly but she didn’t dare to be so confrontational. She had just managed to stand her ground. She quickly shook her head. “I quit my job at the hospital, but I still want to go to the dance studio.”

“That job is not suitable for you…”

“I like it.” Before Elijah could finish his sentence, Freya interrupted directly. Stating her position, “I really like the job at the dance studio.”

She didn’t want to be under his watchful eyes every day.

“What are you doing? Do you want to take away my job and my freedom?” She protested.

Elijah stared at her for several seconds, but eventually let go.

Pressing too hard might backfire.

“Come back a little earlier in the evening, don’t stay out too late.”

Freya nodded obediently. In front of Elijah, when she needed to be soft, she was soft, and when she needed to fight, she fought.

She fawningly sent Elijah out. And by the way, she asked about his schedule for the day, “Where are you going today?”

“Probably spending more time at the company.”

Elijah liked that she was interested in his affairs. When he spoke, there was less coldness than usual, and a bit more patience.

“Oh.” Freya nodded.

Hearing this answer, she began to plan how to help Liora win Elijah.

Watching Elijah leave, Freya tidied up a bit and went to the dance studio. However, she didn’t know that the moment she arrived at the dance studio, the news reached Elijah’s ears. Hearing that she had indeed gone to the dance studio, Elijah just nodded, indicating that he knew. But he didn’t relax his surveillance on her. After all, Freya Stone was someone inclined to run away. Fortunately, she didn’t lie; she really went to the dance studio.

Mrs Quinn, grateful to Freya for helping her husband and securing Elijah’s investment, readily agreed when Freya expressed her desire to return to work for a few days. She was very friendly towards Freya.

“Can I only teach the basic class?” asked Freya. Her current condition wasn’t suitable for dancing. Basic classes only involved teaching movements, much safer. She had to consider the child in her belly. Mrs Quinn was easygoing and readily agreed.

“No need to thank me, you’ve helped me a lot.”

By three o’clock, Freya had finished her classes, and the last batch of kids had also left school.

She finished work. She didn’t go back to the villa but took a taxi to a somewhat remote hospital for a prenatal checkup.

Lying in the ultrasound room, the doctor examined her, “Everything is normal, but you need to pay attention to nutrition. The first three months are a crucial period for fetal formation, so be sure to maintain a happy mood.”

Freya nodded.

“Thank you.”

The child was normal, and she could relax a bit.

Elijah could know about Freya going to the dance studio in the first place, so naturally, he could also get news of her going to the hospital.

“She went to the hospital?”

Elijah was very surprised. Was she sick?

If she was sick, there was no need to go to such a distant hospital.

What was she trying to hide?

“Check what she went to the hospital for.” After saying that, he hung up the phone. He always felt that Freya was hiding something from him. Suddenly putting down his work, he got up and left the office.

Elijah drove back to the villa. Entering the house, he asked Linda, “Has Freya Stone come back?”

“Yes, she’s upstairs.”

Expressionless, Elijah went upstairs. He pushed open the bedroom door but there was no one in the room. The sound of rushing water came from the bathroom. He raised his hand to check the time; it was only five o’clock. Was she taking a bath now? Preparing to sleep, or doing something else?

In the bathroom, Freya, who had sweated while teaching dance at the dance studio, wanted to wash and change into clean clothes. It was more comfortable to stay at home. After washing, she put on conservative home clothes and walked out of the bathroom.

Seeing the man standing in the room, she raised her eyebrows.

Why did he come back at this time?!

“Why did you go to the hospital?” Elijah got straight to the point.
