His Unveiled Passion

Chapter 455

Stephen ran a bath for Tessa and gently placed her into the tub. Then, he picked up a towel and softly began to wash her delicate, fair skin.

Perhaps it was due to the heat and the steam coming from the bath, but the flush on Tessa's cheeks refused to fade.

The bathtub was quite large, so it didn't feel crowded even though they were using it together.

Tessa leaned against the edge of the tub, letting Stephen wash her body without a single protest.

He felt something stir within him as he laid his eyes on her rosy cheeks. So, he leaned in and gave her a peck.

Then, he did it again, pecking her red cheeks lightly.

It wasn't enough. So, he pressed another fleeting kiss on her lips.

Tessa was sore all over and felt like a drained battery, so she couldn't resist his kisses.

"You're so good for me," he murmured as he continued kissing her cheeks, brows, and eyelids.

After the bath, Stephen carried her back to the bedroom, dried her hair, and changed the bedsheets.

Tessa sat in the chair while Stephen stood behind her, blowing her hair dry.

"Can I stay the night?" he asked softly.

Tessa answered weakly, "I'm really tired and am done for the day. I can't go for another round."

Stephen chuckled softly at her protests. The blow-dryer shifted slightly as his slender fingers combed through her hair. "I swear I'll only be holding you while we sleep tonight. I won't do anything else."

"I don't believe you," she replied promptly.

"I'm serious," he said with a grin.

They had gone for three rounds. Three rounds that spanned from the afternoon till dusk.

His stamina was utterly terrifying.

The universe would have to forgive her if she had no desire to tempt fate, especially when fate was a man who had been abstinent for so long.

Tessa shook her head. "I still don't believe you."

"When have I ever lied to you?" he asked in amusement.

He really shouldn't have said that because Tessa's face sank the second he did. She remarked coldly, "Is that so? Remind me again what you told me back when you decided to dump me?"

Stephen immediately fell silent.

He knew he was in the wrong, so he hastily apologized, saying, "That was all my fault, but you know how it was back then. Besides, you now understand why I had to do it, don't you?"

Tessa let out a cold laugh before replying, "A breakup is one thing, but you also told me that you were only playing with my feelings. What was I supposed to think at the time? Also, what about your scandal with Nancy? Does that not count as a lie?"

Stephen said sheepishly. "It was a white lie?"

Tessa was having none of it. "It was still a lie."

"Fine." He conceded defeat.

After he dried her hair, he asked gently, "You must be hungry. What would you like

for dinner? I'll cook something for you."

"I'm fine with anything," she answered.

When Stephen walked into the kitchen, he noticed that the slow cooker was

plugged in and set to the "Keep Warm" function.

There was also steam rising from the pot. He lifted the lid to find a simmering stew inside.

It seemed that Michelle had come by earlier. Perhaps she had knocked on the

door, but they were too preoccupied at the time.

Stephen brought the food to the table and called Tessa over.

The second she saw the dishes, she

couldn't help but comment in

confusion, "That was fast. Don't tellnoveldrama

me you

ordered these to be

delivered because there was no way they could've arrived so quickly."

"I didn't cook this," he said.

Tessa froze as her mind whirred to life.

That could only mean that Michelle was the one who whipped this up.

However, they had been a little busy earlier... That was probably why Tessa didn't hear anyone knocking on her door.

She'd lost herself to him, such that she had forgotten all about Michelle and her cooking.

That was so embarrassing! To make matters worse, there were moments when she couldn't help but moan out loud.

Could Michelle have heard them?

What if they hadn't heard anyone knocking on the door because Michelle didn't bother knocking? What if she didn't do so because she overheard them engaged in certain activities?

Tessa's face immediately turned a violent shade of red.

Stephen knew just what she was thinking. He curled his lips into a smile and said, "It's alright, Tess. She works for us."

When he saw that Tessa was frozen

in place, he approached her and gently nudged her toward the table, pulled out a chair, and coaxed her into sitting. "You should eat. You're exhausted and definitely starving right now."

Suddenly, Tessa noticed that Wynn was nowhere to be found. She couldn't help

but find Wynn's absence odd.

So, she gave Wynn a call and inquired, "Wynn, have you eaten yet?"
