Chapter 2537
"What on earth is going on?" However, there was no time to think. This guy clearly came here harboring ill intentions.
Linden pressed the talisman onto the stranger's body.
Then, a loud explosion erupted, and Linden quickly ran toward the courtyard.
However, he suddenly collided with something.
The sensation was the same as before it was a priest's robe.
To his surprise, two burly men stood in front of him. He had not noticed the second person due to the shock of the explosion.
Now, he found himself surrounded by both men.
One of them growled, "What should we do?"
The other, a younger man with a hoarse voice, replied, "Let's kill him to eliminate future troubles."
"This kid seems genuinely blind, and he doesn't seem to have any true energy."
"So what? He has already heard your voice. Hurry up and make your move. I activated the array earlier. Luckily, the explosion didn't draw attention. We can't leave this guy alive."
"I understand."
Linden wanted to run in another direction, but the barrier around them prevented his escape.
He felt the two men step closer, and then a searing pain followed.
After a while, all he felt was cold.
"It's so cold... Isn't it summer? Why..."
...
The next morning, Aurora anxiously searched for Linden in the courtyard.
"Crap! I slept too heavily last night and didn't notice my true energy flowing out. And why was there no noise? What on earth happened? Linden, please be safe..."
"I found him!" a disciple shouted nearby.
Everyone hurried toward the source of the voice. However, the sight before them filled all with despair.
Linden lay on a secluded path, silent. There was a large hole in his body that had been completely penetrated. Blood splattered across the walls.
The disciples could hardly believe their eyes.
Such a conflict-averse junior had died silently in Hydra Hill.noveldrama
Aurora sat on the ground, her eyes vacant. "This... This..."
Just then, Whistler stepped forward and knocked her out with a swift chop.
Whistler felt compelled to act. He had noticed Aurora's true energy beginning to spiral chaotically, likely due to overwhelming grief, so he decided to calm her down first.
Yet even in her unconscious state, tears streamed down Aurora's face as she muttered, "It's all... my fault... It's all... because of me..."
At that moment, Casimir approached.
He looked at the motionless Linden and fell silent for a moment.
Meanwhile, Nash and Clint were also drawn in by the commotion.
"What... happened?" Nash exclaimed, shocked.
Casimir suppressed his fury and stated firmly, "Whistler, gather all the inner disciples and wait for me in the house."
"Yes, Father."
Casimir then waved his hand, enveloping Linden in a golden true energy.
He then pulled out another talisman and drew Linden into it.
Afterward, Casimir turned to the disciples. "Those from the outer courtyard should
also gather in the inner courtyard. Bring everyone."
"Yes, Father..." the disciples hurried off to notify the others.
Nash and Clint, observing Casimir's radiating killing intent, could not help but swallow hard.
What do you think?
