The Girlboss Begs for Remarriage

Chapter 2355

"Really?" Frank was genuinely happy for Tigris.

The security guard then said, "You should visit Gold Phoenix Securities when you have the time, Mr. Frankton. Linda Yates and the rest of the PR department miss you to bits—they'd be storming Frankton Tower to reach you if Mr. Chand wasn't stopping them."

"Sure, when I can make time!" Frank said, clapping him on the shoulder before heading inside.

Jada then asked, "Do you have to be that polite with the kids? You're different now -you're a big shot!"

"Big shot, my ass." Frank snorted in annoyance. "I'm just lucky."

Jada did not take offense and was even smiling-if Frank could treat an ordinary security guard as an equal, he would definitely care more about these people who fought for him.

It was the little details that revealed the entire person, and she had certainly followed the right leader!

Soon, they arrived at the drawing room, where Donnie Ingram had made everyone tea.

Sitting down opposite Frank, he then said, "I've always been a straightforward person, Mr. Frankton. Feel free to correct me should I say anything that you disagree with! Anyway, I've asked you to come to check if you could decide on your wedding with my daughter soon..."

Caught off guard, Jada almost spat out her tea.

And here she thought it was something urgent... but it was for this?!

She quickly said, "Mr. Ingram, one shouldn't rush things, and I'm sure your daughter doesn't mind either. A man should always prioritize career over anything else, don't you agree?"

Jada knew that Frank had no

interest in tying the knot at the moment, and that refusing was a poor look. And while Frank would not be worried about what Donnie thought, it would not do to hurt Alda.

That was why Jada spoke on Frank's behalf-even if she misspoke, the blame lay

on her and not Frank, allowing him to change his stance if necessary.

Still, Donnie chuckled. "Don't say that, Ms. Turin. When I was Mr. Frankton's age, Alda could already call me 'dada"."noveldrama

Jada giggled. "Now that's the old man in you talking, Mr. Ingram. It's never too late to have kids—what's important is a safe, healthy environment to grow up in.

"I understand that you'd like a

grandson soon, but Mr. Frankton

has his hands full and wouldn't have

time to babysit. If children weren't

raised with love, it'd be too late

before long."

Frank could clap for Jada right then-she was flawless, having had no problem working under the likes of Pax Jaric!

In fact, she was sharp enough that Donnie, the undisputed local business giant, could not find any flaw in her logic.

Still, he sighed. "Surely Mr. Frankton should marry, even if he's not having kids? Don't think of doing it for Alda-think of it as doing it for my reputation!

"Now, everyone knows that Mr. Frankton is at war, and people would call me a fence-sitter if I don't intervene. How am I supposed to continue doing business if word gets out?"

Jada was not sure if she should laugh or cry—in the end, Donnie proved that he was older and more cunning, using reason to make Frank comply!

Still, she reasoned, "That's not quite right, Mr. Ingram! We can intervene in many things, but not in what people say, don't you agree? As long as we have a clear conscience it's up to them to say whatever they like. We can just leave them be

Donnie smiled wryly. "You're not quite right there either, Ms. Turin. Words can

hurt, and I really wouldn't survive the public's scorn!"

Jada sighed and turned toward Frank, clearly resigning herself. One might even

say she was wounded by Donnie's despicable attitude.

When he had to, the geezer could sink lower than Mr. Quaker. He was

unreasonable, even obsessive, as he strived to achieve his goal!
