The Rebirth of the Betrayed Alpha

Hearing those words, Alexandra chuckles, uncertain of what to say for a long moment. She had not expected such words from him after she had endured his long hours of hurtful words.

"What exactly is a mistake?"

"You know what I'm talking about Alexandra"

"I don't"

"You do" He raises his voice aloud

"I don't!" She yells

"Seriously? You're going to act like this"

"Is your way any better?"

"I'm going home, we will talk another day" Nathaniel tries to walk away when Alexandra holds his arm

"You brought this up. No. You started this but I will be the one who ends it or decides when it ends so speak your mind Nathaniel or else-"

"Or else what?" Nathaniel gazes at her lips.

"Or else you won't leave. I won't let you go home"

He chuckled, seeing the indifferent look on her face quiet down. "What exactly do you want me to say, Alexandra?"

"Your words were not clear. All of this is a mistake, that's too complex"

"Complexity is my specialty"

"Simplicity is mine so please do me the honors"

Nathaniel runs his hand through his hair, stating deliberately. "I'm a bit regretful proposing this union between us"

Shocked, Alexandra gawks at him lost for words for a moment, she blinks her eyes almost rapidly as if to remind herself that this was a reality and not some fantasy

"This marriage proposal between us, I'm a bit regretful" Nathaniel smiles seeing the look on Alexandra's face, he wasn't mad at her and he wouldn't have lost himself since he was a strong Alpha except with Alexandra's presence.

Alexandra scoffs. "Repeat what you just said to me"

"This marriage proposal between us, I'm a bit regretful"

Alexandra smiles. "Well there hasn't been any marriage right"

"What do you mean?" Nathaniel frowns

"There is still time to stop the wedding besides nothing yet has been said and no official date has been picked. I haven't even been to your pack so screw it"

Nathaniel quickly holds her hand, enraged.

"Alexandra you" he seethes

"Isn't it what you want" she pushes him away and he gawks at her "It's what you proposed. What do you think was going to happen? Do you think I will cry or something" she laughs. "The world doesn't revolve around you Nathaniel and I don't revolve around you so wake up from your deluded fantasy"

Nathaniel smiles causing her to stare at him intently. "Where you perhaps hurt?" Alexandra scoffs. "Who do you think you are? My savior?"

"Your mate. I'm your mate"

"Right you are, however you just stated how regretful you are. Is it because of the aphrodisiac or what?"

"I don't care about that Alexandra, I'm a strong Alpha, all those things don't affect me. I only lost control of myself because of you"noveldrama

"So you are saying I can make you lose control of yoyourself

Closing the space between them, Nathaniel tucks the strand of hair behind her ear. "What affects you then?"

"I'm surprised you still haven't figured that out yet"

"I'm not some spell master Nathaniel, I'm a werewolf so I can't possibly figure out everything"

"You don't need to be anything to figure out what affects me or perhaps who?"

"All you have to do is trust your instincts and you will feel it" He whispers into her ear and Alexandra inhales deeply, closing her eyes for a moment trying to let the thumping beat of her heart lead her when Nathaniel's hurtful words spring up in her head and she quickly pushes him away.

"Didn't you say you're regretful proposing this marriage agreement between us" "And so?"

"So we don't have to act close"

"Weren't you the one who said there hasn't been any marriage yet"

"You instigated it. This all started because of your words, your lines not mine" "So that's your payback"

"No. You only get what you ask for and in your case, you asked for it. First, you throw the blame on me, raining down hurtful words upon my innocent head"

Nathaniel rolls his eyes, he wouldn't dare believe she would call herself innocent. In the short while he had got to know her she had shown different shades of herself confusing him a lot more. He had seen the way she had reacted with Adam by the river that way, the things she had done to Olivia at the council, and the bizarre act she had displayed on Adams and Olivia in the woods.

"Those rogues, did you arrange them?"

Taken aback by the sudden question, Alexandra exhales, her face void of emotions. She had thought they were way past this.

"Rogues?"

"Yes, those Rogues that attacked your sister in the woods, did you arrange for them?"

"What makes you think I did?" She states certain she wasn't going to deny nor accept any of his claims.

"Their timing was perfect and that isn't even their territory so the only way they could have come is If they have been arranged"

"Aren't you going a little overboard with this?"

"They hurt your sister"

"And so? Who are you to her? Who is she to you? Is she your mate?" Alexandra scoffs

"This has nothing to do with this"

"Has nothing to do with this, it has everything to do with this" she shakes her head unbelievably, hating that he had to do this.

"Maybe you are right Nathaniel, this is a mistake"

"What?"

"And like I said, we are not married yet and still have time to stop the wedding" Alexandra walks away.
